Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers

Outrageous prices when compared to other local hotels. The hotel manager was rude, and interrupted our business meeting.

An absolutely horrendous experience. Reviews say location is good...cannot disagree. Reviews say management is poor. I'd go further and say dysfunctional. Some of them have been there for 25 years and live as though it is still that era. Understand that times change and people change. One in particular (T) is incredibly way above himself. He didn't understand a word of English when I expressEd cleanliness concerns. He said i shouldn't be bothered about such things as this is Japan. Good luck to them if this is their attitude. What a self fulfilling road to disappointment. Get younger more clued in managers that understand a younger clientele. Also, a room tonight is 51,000 yen!!!!! Don't waste your money.

Having my second stay this year, reception was as usual polite, however, when ask for late checkout at 2pm, the hotel is charging me 4k jpy as a silver elite member, this is the first time I encountered 2 hours late checkout with charge. l thought as elite silver member are supposed to entitled for late checkout. Second funny experience is when l request help to post a sealed envelope at concierge, they direct me to the nearest postbox instead of helping me to post it. I remember last year when l maje the same request from concierge, they offered to assist me. Higher hotel prices but lower guests service, rather disappointed.

Terrible service and rooms are way overpriced for the oldness of them. Convenient location, but so are many other hotels near the station that are so much cheaper. Eat out, food prices are so expensive that you could eat out three times for the same volume of food. Royal Host is a better breakfast, and the Richmond hotel offers same location, but at half the price. Do your own research.

Now this surely has to be the best located hotel in all of Yokohama. It is located right above the massive and well-connected train station the gave me easy and fast access to Tokyo city and the airports. The underground beneath this hotel is a massive labyrinth of the train station, multiple department stores, shops and restaurants. It was like an underground city! It had everything! The hotel itself is an old-style Sheraton. Having said that, it was well maintained and functioned perfectly. The rooms were spacious and offers skyline view of the city. My room even had some view of the bay and bridge. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. The executive lounge was a bit meh for me. I found the food and drinks to be basic and nothing special (despite all the glowing reviews). Guests would come to literally stuff their faces with food and drinks during the happy hour. I found it quite unpleasant even. The highlight of this hotel was absolutely the service. Everyone was swift, friendly and helpful. There was a big team of international team members which made communication in English very easy. Arelene at breakfast was really kind, helpful and proactive. She made every effort to look after me as I had arrived towards the end of the breakfast service. I arrived at the hotel a bit tired from my 2-week travels and Ms Minh Nguyễn checked me in. Knowing I was a little tired, she swiftly looked into giving the best possible room (as a Titanium member) and made every effort to make me feel welcomed. There was something in her disposition that was comforting yet professional. Her kindness and warmth was special. It was like meeting a kind and caring sister! It is this special level of service from these 2 ladies and everyone else at the hotel (including the gentleman who checked me out early in the morning) that has made me book my next stay with hotel. I have not come across this unique style of service and care in Japan ever. Thank you!

Way too expensive for the service provided. Many budget hotels in Yokohama station vicinity at about one third the price for same size rooms.

We were so happy with our stay at Yokohama Bay Sheraton!! The service was so kind every step of the way! Our room was very large and beyond well appointed - from pajamas and bathrobes to crystal glasses to bath salts - nothing was overlooked! The beds and pillows were fabulous!! Our view from a high floor was spectacular!! Access to the hotel is direct from the West exit underground at Yokohama Station to the B1 level of the hotel. Great signage throughout the station pointing the way to the hotel (which is so helpful since the station is large and easy to get turned around in). We found the food in the lounge to be very nice and plentiful - although we did not like having to have a reservation or time limit for the lounge - that is definitely something they should improve upon and figure out a solution to (perhaps not selling rooms with automatic entrance to the lounge and leave the lounge access to those who have earned it?!?). Having said that, we were never denied entry but did have to leave before we were finished socializing as the next reserved time people were coming in. Overall, a five star experience.
