Request room change, traveling solo. Receptionist could’ve cared less overall attitude was poor. But based on the manager’s attitude, it’s not surprising. No hospitality.
Always my go to when staying at SLO. Always clean, right near downtown for easy walking and you can park right next to your room!
The staff at Avenue Inn is great, check in was easy and they were very helpful with in formation on things to do and places to eat etc.
Check-in was very smooth, the location is great with many places in easy walking distance (.5 miles). The room is perfect for my needs. Some might find it small.
Clean and comfortable place, very near to downtown, and right off the freeway, which is very convenient. Our room had two beds, so space was a little tight, but that is ok. The bathroom is renovated and very nice. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, which we appreciate as we always travel with our own food. We'd stay here again.
Very nice place in SLO. The check in was easy and the owner of the hotel was very nice and helpful. Our 2 night stay was comfortable and the place is clean. The only potential issue is a lack of parking if returning late from a night out. I have stayed here before, will stay here again, and recommend it as a SLO lodging option.
This was a nice hotel. A big step up from where we have stayed before when in San Luis Obispo. Lived that we could walk to downtown.

Some of my ratings are not good because there was a strong sewer smell coming either the toilet or shower. This caused the entire room to smell very bad. Since it was late and I was leaving very early in the morning, I did not complain. With that fixed, the room would’ve been fine
