TownePlace Suites Dulles Airport

I booked a 2 bedroom suite more than a month ago to monitor the activity of a vision impaired guest from overseas after picking him up @ IAD. I learned upon checking in the day before that reservation has been overwritten to be 2 studios ! I have stayed at the Marriott properties for +900 nights & this is the FIRST time that hotel did something like this to me. Being an Titanium / Lifetime platinum meant nothing i guess. I called & they explained that the property is oversold & this is my only choice or CANCEL ?? I am sure guests have reasons to book a 2 bedroom suite to begin with. What was reserved should by all means be honored. This is completely different from seeking for an upgrade from a studio/1 bedroom suite which the hotel has the rights to decline based on availability. I hope this property will never do this to me when I need to come back in 10 days or do something like this to any of the other guests.

Lovely room for the price. Great customer service and extremely accommodating staff at checkin and throughout. Very friendly staff who were so proud of the work they were doing, no matter what it was. Hotel is lucky to have that kind of team. They all deserve a raise and a bonus Pros. Nice clean room, all good amenities for kitchen. Has place for 3 people to work. You can cook and o laundry at the hotel that saves a ton. Great temperature control Great price and clean. Cons. Not walkable, ok bathroom and a bit dated but cannot complain for amenities I was getting along with good staff.

Liked the availability of a 2 bedroom suite so each one can have a restful night which we had. What was missing was a washer/dryer especially for people who travelled for more than a week and packed light .

It is attached to the airport so we did not go into the car,unload luggage and park again,instead we just walked with our luggage’s via short indoor walkway to airline check counter.

Old, needs to be renovated. Door locks still use magnetic strips, tv in room was very outdated. Just not what I was expecting for 100 a night.

The property could use a face lift

What I did not like is my room smelled like a recent smoker was in the room
