Britannia Hotel Wolverhampton

Worst customer service in the world. Avoid this hotel.

Well this used to be Wolverhampton premier hotel and my my as it been let go . The guy on reception was really nice bt I thought all the reception staff where all shabby in their presentation. The whole of the hotel looks really shabby if I'm honest its looks old and dated and needs a good face lift. As for my room it was dirty,shabby and well u can see from my pictures it was damp as well . For what you pay I expect better and they charge £12 for breakfast. You can gt it cheaper at any of the pubs opposite The bathroom was a total mess dark ,damp and not even a proper toilet roll holder.

This hotel does not deserve my time to write out the worst ever hotel stay me and my girlfriend have ever had, juts to let you guys know until we finally got our heads down it was 4:50am and we swapped rooms 6 time’s

Smell was bad and bed was not comfortable

Booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced and central for business visit. The first room they gave me stunk of smoke and was in quite poor condition. There was a clear smell of smoke in the corridors which reminded me of Jamaica! even after changing rooms it was very basic not particularly clean and I would not stay here again nor recommend it.

Quite possibly the most awful hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a LOT. Once you have travelled back in time as you enter the front door and approach reception, you will be met with misery like you've never experienced before after a 18hr journey, you'll be ignored for a while whilst they finish their conversation, then you'll be spoken to like an inconvenience. Once you've checked in you'll be given rules about not eating in your room or bringing in outside food and drink in. Also abuse of staff will not be tolerated, signs are everywhere. Basically it's a get out clause because they will talk to you like an idiot but if you talk back to them like that it won't be tolerated. WiFi is poor so if you're in wolves on business I wouldn't bother. No smoking on site but place stinks of cigarettes in hotel bar and hallways. Room was tired, Springs in mattress, lighting poor, no extractor in bathroom to take steam away. Bar is basic, only takes cash, but drinks reasonable and bartender was really nice. Housekeeping were really hardworking and made sure we were topped up with coffee and tea in the room which was lovely. Overall, would never stay here again. Forget economy I'll pay an extra few pounds a night next time and find somewhere else. Britannia should be ashamed, embarrassed, that this is allowed. It needs significant investment. Service and quality is non-existent at this hotel.

Could hear street noise all night ,room was ok apart from damp wall.

For starters the receptionist was very rude and abrupt when we were checking in. The checking in process took a really long time and we were asked the same questions over and over again. The room was absolutely boiling. The radiator wouldn’t turn down at all and the walls were filthy. All the rooms should be at a standard level of cleanliness, so I didn’t even bother asking for another room. I wouldn’t stay here at all if you want a good nights sleep. The beds were like I was lying on a brick and the noise outside was horrendous. Breakfast was not worth the price. You might as-well go over the road and go to wetherspoons for half the price. Only good thing was the central location.
