For the cheap price it was an ok stay

I visited the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton

Pretty grim. First room overlooked main busy road & had a disgusting dilapidated bathroom Second room marginally better but freezing cold. Took refuge in the Wetherspoons opposite to keep warm. Woken at 1 am with noisy blokes moving furniture with loud voices in the next room. One Hand towel 1 bath towel for 2 people both with dirty marks on them from previous guests. Bedding seemed clean but mattress extremely u comfortable. Tea/coffee on tray is unheard of brand. Won’t be rushing back.

The hotel was unique - it’s the only time I’ve ever been to a hotel and been told on checking that you’re not allowed to bring your own alcohol or takeaway food on to the premises. Other than that, it’s a fantastic location in the centre of Wolverhampton and is clean with reasonable WiFi in our (1st Floor) room. Have stayed here in more than one occasion.

Central location. But would not stay again, staff were fine but had a really tough job on there hands. Very interesting people staying in the hotel! No way the staff are going to be able to control them should there be a problem.

Hotel was clean, but very dated. Room overlooking the entrance could use a blackout curtain/blind, as the light from the streetlamps lit up the room, even when the curtains were shut.

A great and entertaining hotel. Level one, try to decipher and understand what the receptionist is telling you in their ancient garbled dialogue. Level two, try and find your room through the labyrinth of passage ways avoiding the occasional passed out junkie. Level three, over come the obnoxious stench of marijuana, urine and damp - occasionally all occurring at once. Level four, dodge the extras from a post apocalyptic zombie movie. Game over if you encounter one in the one elevator. Level five, sleep though the background noise of drunken couples arguing, indiscriminate fighting and slappers shagging in the back alleys. Level six, avoid permanent hearing damage as the fire alarm is sounded indiscriminately during the night. Dare you stay? * two stars because the shower wasn’t as damp as the bedroom and shower gel only caused mild irrational for a few hours after use. Ps if you stay in room 262, do not check under the bed.

Was meant to have a 3 night stay, however once entering our room we noticed how dirty and substandard it was. The wall paper was hanging off the wall in some places, paint peeling and the walls were also damp and had mould on! Additionally the bed sheets were stained as were the chairs, whilst the bathroom also had mould in the grouting. I just expect a clean room, would not stay here again, even for an hour! Would rate 0/5 if I could in need of serious refurbishment

The property is right in the heart of the city. The only think I didn't like was being told that you could not bring alcohol or food into the hotel. Other than that my stay was good.
