Tired bar food limited nothing special

Room 7 to be avoided at all cost, if you have interest in sleeping! It is facing the street which has constant traffic noise throughout the noise. The majority of it is heavy trucks that rattle their way past hotel. To add insult to injury, the car park cannot take the large buses which are parked right under the window of this room. They start up early and the engine is left running for ages before they leave. The noise level from this bus was something I have not experienced before. Having got little or no sleep during night, having checked the check out time was told it was 12 noon, I tried to get some rest in the morning when I was disturbed by housekeeping to do the room at 10 am .Obviously, there is no communication with reception to see if the quest has checked out before disturbing quests. As quests have stated already I was also charged 50 euro deposit to cover possible purchases that you might make during your stay ! It seems that lots of people leave without paying. There was no way I was going to purchase anything there when there was such lack of trust in me. Overall it was a disappointing experience in a hotel that enjoys so much hype.

We stayed in three hotels during our West Coast trip and I find it hard to believe that the Dunraven is actually a four star hotel. The others were fabulous. This was meh. It felt very old-school--in fact, it felt a little like a school building with its long corridors and many wings. It needs a real refresh--the furnishings were dowdy and I was particularly put off by the four poster bed curtains on which you could see where other peoples' heads had been. There's a pool, but it's in a very hot and humid room and is heated to bath-temperature. Also, only open 'till 6. Because there was a wedding party when we arrived, our room wasn't ready on time and we couldn't access the gardens until later in the day. There are some nice 1920s details in the building, but it did not feel competitive with our other hotel experiences at all. [Separately, Adare itself is awful. There's no there there and it's jammed w/ traffic all the time. The whole "quaintest village in Ireland" line is rubbish.]

Lovely property, well located in the picturesque village of Adare. Walking distance from all local facilities. Helpful and friendly staff, made my wife and I very welcome.

The staff were terrific. The restaurant was one of the best we ate at during our three weeks in Ireland !

Well what can I not say ....pillows softest and a fluffiest duvet each .... Service great,breakfast to die for, separate dressing room and bathroom best room we've ever stayed in for detail...and a big mention to the bar tender Harry...when we arrived back from the Wolfe Tonnes concert he made sure everyone was looked after before he left his shift ... lovely young friendly and dedicated lad ...

Situated in lovely Adare, Dunraven Arms is a great spot to stay and eat. Staff were very attentive and our evening meal was excellent with a wide choice to choose from. My starter was really tasty, smoked salmon, followed by the slow cooked beef which was succulent and cooked to perfection and to finish, a chocolate parfait with ice cream. Our breakfast next morning was also excellent. (The sausages were delicious) We paid a little extra and got a superior room overlooking the courtyard style garden and again no complaints.
