The best hotel I have ever stayed at in Japan. Rooms are amazing, and the private hot spring rooms are a must

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Beautifully decorated, clean, new and spacious. Staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Amazing service and facilities. Check-in process was so nice - we were seated in the nice lobby area while they took care of all paper works and luggage. Transportation from/to Odawara station made the trip so convenient. I can‘t say enough good things about this place and I would definitely go back.

clean, location wise there's a 7 eleven nearby. The private onsen in the balcony is very nice. Common onsen has a jacuzzi and a sauna. Swimwear is required in the common onsen which was convenient for our group. Would definitely book here again!

Had the most amazing stay at Hotel Indigo in Gora. Perfect location for exploring Hakone and the hotel facilities were great excellent. Loved having our own private onsen but also the public hotel onsen was fantastic! The staff are incredibly attentive and kind, such a beautiful experience. The free hotel shuttle to and from Odawara Station and the hotel also makes getting there a breeze! Definitely use the hotels free car service to get up to Gora Station if your exploring Hakone, as the steps up the hill are tough and steep (and definitely not doable with luggage). Can’t wait to stay here again in future! Will definitely stay at least 2 nights next time to make the most of this beautiful hotel.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. They couldnt have been anymore helpful. The views from the balcony were incredible and the onsen bath on the balcony was amazing. Rooms were large and very clean.

Amazing stay and highly recommended. Incredible customer service and a beautiful site. Transportation to and from gora station and the shuttle to odawara was very appreciated and convenient to getting around Hakone. Would stay here again next time in Hakone. Room was spacious and on site amenities were clean and comfortable

Amazing having the onsen inside the room.

Beautiful, classically decorated interior spaces and my room looked at an area of forest covered mountain. Breakfast was lovely with a nice mix of Japanese and western selections (and a beautifully decorated cappuccino). Staff was incredibly friendly at check-in and check out. Room was clean and elegantly appointed. The bathroom was unbelievable Overhead rain shower and a soaking bath. Immaculate tiles. Main drawback is that the hotel is situated at the end of a fairly poor street in an urban area without any access to green space (the mountain behind the property is quite steep and without any walking area).

Firstly, the building and rooms are awesome. It's a beautiful location. The hotel seems to want to cater to couples. as a solo traveler I may have picked the wrong hotel..

It's a perfect hotel for enjoying a private hot spring in your room, but that's about it. The facilities are well-maintained and clean, and the location is bad either. However, the service feels very systematic, like that of a city hotel—just like many modern hotels these days. If you're just planning to stay and leave without expecting anything special, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
