stayed here for my wedding / honeymoon and requested a quote room. we were put in a room with scaffolding outside, we requested to change rooms but were told no as they were fully booked. there was constant building works, banging and drilling from 9am. complained to the front desk who refused to refund our stay as we “hadn’t asked to change rooms when we arrived” - we did and we were told no. our bathroom also had splashes of blood on the floor and two of the towels were blood stained on arrival. was supposed to be staying a few nights but left the morning after we checked in. hotel have refused to refund our stay.

Food was nice. Beds comfy.

Filled kettle from sink and all dirty clogged stuff came up from the shower. It absolutely stunk the room out. Rang reception and the manager came up. Said id be moving rooms but he tried to fix the blockage but i didnt expect the banging so loud whilst my baby was sleeping. In and out of our room at 9pm at night whilst i have 3 kids trying to unblock the shower was unacceptable but I just thought it would take a minute or 2. Couldn't fix the blocked shower so gave me another room key to have a shower in rather than moving us as my baby was asleep. I was given complimentary water for the inconvenience. Night manager was lovely and did try his best but moving us straight away would have been better. Unfortunately we went to clean our teeth and the sink was leaking water now all over the bathroom. Rang reception again and told them the bathroom is now soaked and I was moving to the other room as id had enough. Had to carry my sleeping daughter in the cot across the corridor and move rooms. Asked about swimming with my kids on booking this hotel to which they sent the family swimming times. The swimming was the main reason I booked this hotel. Went to swimming to be told I cant take my 3 kids in only 2! Bare in mind my 10 year old can swim and my 9 year old is great in the water. Having to leave 1 of my kids on the side didnt work well due to having an 18 month old so I got out after 5 minute with very upset kids. Had I been informed the ratio was 1 adult to 2 kids i would have cancelled my stay and never came. Breakfast was nice but my kids was told that the waitress would take their orders as they was picking the continental breakfast so they sat down. Seeing my autistic son having a melt down I questioned the waitress. She said you order through her, I asked what the pastries, toast. Fruit and cereals was then. She said oohhh help yourself to that. so they had been a misunderstanding somewhere and caused stress for my son who didnt understand.
