Rustic Log Cabin

Great views, perfect for a couple and 2 nights away. Short drive to bars / restaurants

The cabin was overlooking the sea it was in a relaxing peaceful area..The near by beaches were outstanding beauty and the weather had finally changed and could go out all day..The local area had everything u needed supermarket takeaway post office and a hotel..

The location is brilliant. The views are spectacular and the host was very nice

A few issues here . Main one is that the cabin has 2 doors . 2 separate rooms ,one for kitchen and living other for bedroom and toilet. In the rain it is not ideal to have to go outside for the toilet. I was disappointed by the bed situation the bunk beds are very small no room and to go to the toilet disturbs the person in the double bed. Also parking on wet grass is a nightmare . It needs a few repairs from use. The button on the toilet is broken and the taps actually turn . I was a bit disappointed as its not cheap

The view is breathtaking and the location is very peaceful. You can sit and watch the boats cross the stretch of water all day, weather permitting. The cabin has everything you need to make meals. Oven, kettle and toaster. Loads of room in front of the property for children to play games and for the dog to run around. Is a rustic log cabin so I didn’t expect much from the shower as other reviews have mentioned but it’s enough to have a wash which is all you need. It’s a lovely little place to explore Donegal and great value for money. I do prefer a self catering holiday as you eat out if you want but also have the option to make a meal in. Well done to the owners, I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back

Nothing. I did my research and I knew what to expect. If a power shower is important to you then don’t book but I can’t fault this log cabin. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday

Just beware hot tub was an additional 20euro. I would have tbought it was part of the facilities

Could have been cleaner, shower barely worked so don't plan on getting washed! microwave needs binned unusable very dirty! Bed needs replaced.not comfortable and very small. Such a shame as it could.be a great place.if updated.and.cleaned better

The cabin was perfect. Friendly and welcoming great, location and had everything you need.

The view was incredible. Amazing location. Communication and check in were very easy. Very friendly staff. Warm and welcoming. Property was easy to find and access. Great base to explore from. Shower was fine. Two toilets in the property makes it easier.

- Nowhere in the description does it mention the bedrooms and living space aren't connected. So having to go outside in order to go the toilet or go to bed is very inconvenient, particularly in bad weather. Also the bedrooms aren't really separate, you have to walk through the double bed room to get to the bunkbeds. Bunkbeds are very cramped, particularly the top bunk which is very close to the ceiling. - 2nd toilet is in an outhouse / shed. Was fine in July but imagine it would be very cold in winter. - Property not great in poor weather. Every time you open the door, a lot of water leaks in when it's raining which makes the wooden floor very slippy. End up having to mop up every time somebodys had to go next door to go the toilet. Same visa versa in the bedroom space. - A lot of the workmanship in the property wasn't great. Loose fittings on cupboards and shelves and the toilet. - Towels aren't provided. Nor tea towels. We did ask about towels and they provided them in the end but usually they don't. - You can see a lovely log stove in the pictures but nothing is provided for you to actually use it. - Property clearly designed for 4 people because if the sleeping conditions, yet the sofa only two fits two people plus one random rocking chair. - TV is very small - Heating system was complicated and difficult to work. - Lots of the kitchenware wasn't really fit for purpose I.e. no filters for the coffee machine, lots of the cutlery was broken, some of the pans and chopping boards were dirty. - Some food had been left by previous guests e..g coffee and tea but it was very old and had clearly not been checked. - Lighting in the living space is quite poor - one central light and one tiny side light which is next to useless.
