Hotel is basic but room was very well prepared and clean. Perfectly adequate and good value for the price paid

Excellent staff well presented public areas excellent food ..bedroom was "tired" and needs an uplift.

Staff were very friendly and professional Food selection quality and presentation was excellent . Would recommend it

The staff were very friendly especially the lady who served breakfast both days, nothing was too much trouble for her, she was very kind, and had great customer service skills!

The room, it was on the 2nd floor, room 7. The heatwave in England did not help but there was no air conditioning in the room, and the window only opened an inch. This meant the room was boiling hot the two nights that we stayed there. We did ask about swapping rooms for the 2nd night but there was none available. The fan in the room was very dirty and as such has affected my partners chest due to the dust coming off it, however it was the only thing that circulated air around the room, albeit warm air.

Location and the bar was pretty decent. Staff friendly

This was a last minute booking as my long term hotel booking elsewhere was cancelled by the hotel. This is a pub with rooms. Our room was very nice with great shower room and comfy bed. It was a hot weekend without aircon which in itself was not a problem as a fan was in the room. The window opened no problem but sadly the kitchen monster fan was outside the window ( Room 8!). The manager switched it off at 11pm after kitchen staff forgot-no issues there. Told it would not start until 9am for following morning ( bank holiday Sunday). It fired up at 07.30 so no peaceful lie in. It was the only room affected by the fan. No discount either -ask for one!!! Good breakfast by chirpy staff. A little chaotic but pleasant experience.
