Beautiful setting for afternoon tea for a family members birthday. Lovely staff and the nicest afternoon tea we’ve had!

The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food especially the breakfast was good

The building works totally obscured the view from the room. The temporary hot tub tent obscured the view in the bar and restaurant depending where you sat. There was very little internal space with seats where you could relax. It was in the internal quadrangle with outdoor heaters which didn't enable you to see anything but the hotel. It was expensive for what it was.

Good points The staff were excellent. The food, especially the breakfast were excellent. The room was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Bad points We paid £200+ for a mountain view and got a building site view. We did make the point we were unhappy with the room but weren't given the option to change (there were others available to be booked) There isn't anywhere to sit and relax apart from the bar and restaurant. We weren't able to book our restaurant of choice so don't miss the advice to book before you arrive.
