Kyoto Gion no Yado

Large apartment on two floors, big bathtub, very central.

Check-in experience was ruined a little by the hosts laughing all the time as if they were mocking us. We are still grateful they allowed us to put the bags in the apartment before check in time.

The apartment was incredibly cute! It was fun to stay in a more traditional accommodation, in a great location in Gion, down a cute side street. The beds were comfortable and the Japanese tub was fun to experience.

We have a pretty tall family, so had to duck our heads a lot but the experience was worth it!

Everything was great!

Excellent location with everything we wanted close by. Short bus ride to the station then easy travel to places like Nara. Launderette and convenience store just around the corner

We could have done with two mugs and some dishes and a sharp knife, plus a small plastic washing up bowl

Loved the location, the cleanliness, style, thoughtful amenities and extra room instead of a hotel room in Kyoto. Also really enjoyed staying in a traditional Japanese house. Staff was responsive and really helpful.

It was difficult for some of us in the night having the bathroom downstairs from the bedroom.

Great stay, perfect location.
