As the hotel has no elevator, please contact the hotel directly if you have any walking difficulties. Please note that pets up to 15kgs are only allowed in selected room types at a surcharge of GBP 25 per dog per night. Please note dogs needs to be kept on a lead at all times and cannot be left unattended in the rooms. Pets are welcome in the bar and lounge but not in the restaurant. "A great place to stay: comfortable and in lovely grounds"

They gave us an accessible room, as requested. The menu for breakfast - and for dinner - was limited but delicious and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The check-in was poor: based on a US system that could not cope with my (straight- forward) name (Mary Angela Logan). They found my booking after 5+ minutes, which was a relief as I also booked rooms for members of my family for a special occasion.

"Great hotel shame about the beds"

Lovely old English house which has been well equipped. Pros include: Great water pressure AC Very friendly staff Cons: Terrible beds resulting in little sleep

"A wonderful hotel"

I thought this was an outstanding hotel. Caelan, (one of many brilliant members of staff), very kindly helped us with our luggage, and we were absolutely delighted with our beautiful room and shower room in the far barn. Dinner was superb, as was breakfast. Stacey was a wonderful maitre d’, so everything ran very smoothly. The grounds are beautiful, and there are plenty of spaces in the car park. This is one of my favourite U.K. hotels. It really was a lovely treat to stay here.
