Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Location and grounds were great, close to the town center of Stratford upon Avon and the cotswolds.

The breakfast was disappointing considering the price and hotel in general. The room was good although we stayed for a week and sheets and towels were not changed. Stayed in the rooms in the separate building to the Manor where a number of company training sessions were held which disturbed sleep.

Hotel was great, staff lovely and meal and breakfast was good too, no complaints there. The spa wasn't good at all. Beds round pool were in need of a good clean, so much so that i didnt want to put my towel on it and lay and relax. When we were in the pool, near the shower end there was a horrible smell like drains. We decide to get out and go back to our room

Room was big and v comfortable but robes missing had to ring reception. Food disappointing esp dinner long wait over an hour for main course and it was dried up and dull ,, v expensive for what it was .

We recently had a pleasant 2 night stay. It's an attractive period building with some interesting panelled public rooms and attractive gardens. Our room, though in a modern block, had been designed to give a period feel. It was quiet, and what seemed like a truck/van depot adjacent to the room didn't particularly bother us. The service sadly was a tad mixed; sometimes charming and efficient, other times slow and bordering on indifferent/rude. Perhaps there's a training opportunity? We had breakfast and a dinner at the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style and was entirely adequate, though not outstanding. Dinner was tasty and enjoyable. Value? Decent enough.

Staff were very professional and courteous, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Lovely gardens too.

We got the last room, which although lovely overlooked the bins. A minor niggle.

The view of the property as you pull into the driveway is fantastic, it is a beautiful building. The interior is tastefully decorated and it was nice to see the history of the property in some of the pictures. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Some parts of the property are in need of attention eg. The windows but this didn’t spoil our stay.

Breakfast was chaotic at busy times, staff were not refilling things very quickly. The coffee machine on the 1st morning wasn’t working properly. The coffee brought to your table the following mornings was far too strong and didn’t taste very nice. The layout of the buffet needs improving so you have more space to walk around. I think the hot drinks should be alongside the fruit juices away from the food area. There wasn’t a very good choice of gluten free dishes on the restaurant or bar menu so we ended up eating out.
