Down Hall Hotel

Had such a great time at Down Hall, it is one of our favourite hotels ever. The Recption team is amazing, Ilayda, Jamie and Lucica (forgive the spelling). Great service from Cam & David in the restaurant. The manager Erhan knows how to run a great hotel. Also Viraf and Ranju are great Restaurant managers.

Our stay was memorable & totally enjoyable. Friendly, dedicated & professional staff in all departments. All areas maintained to a high standard of hygiene & maintainance. Delicious food served with a smile! The outdoor terrace was a treat with the superb weather & an amazing view if the well maintained garden. Particularly enjoyed the circular walk tuning into nature. The hotel caters well for families & pets. A big shout out to Jodie (FOM) Melis in reception & Viraf (F&BManager. Their warm & amazing customer service made us feel so valued. Came with my daughters and grandchildren on Saturday . We all had an amazing afternoon tea . One of my daughters and two of my grandchildren have allergies. They were very well catered for. Our waitress was Jane she was such a lovely lady we all felt very welcomed when we arrived , she was so friendly and very chatty towards the children. She was very attentive throughout are time in the restaurant. After the tea we visited the grounds of the hotel which all looked very pretty. With an added bonus of a playground. We all had a great time 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Down Hall with my two young children. The room was spacious, warm and thoughtfully set up for a family, and the girls especially loved the bunk bed area. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, particularly at this time of year, and gave the children plenty of space to run around and explore. It felt calm, safe and very easy to settle into. Dinner at the Fox Bar was a highlight. The children’s menu was well considered, the food was very enjoyable and the service was warm, attentive and relaxed, which made the whole experience effortless with young children. A special thank you to Luccia and Jamie at reception who were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The scavenger hunt was a lovely touch and the children were thrilled to receive their Down Hall teddy bears at the end. Overall, a genuinely family-friendly stay with a great balance of comfort, quality and thoughtful details. We would happily return.

I shared with Veeraf It was the best I’ve seen the hotel in 8 years in visiting the hotel. I feel he is a big part of that. I felt consistency of the food everything ran quicker smoother and more delicious than pervious years . It looks like the management have found a really good team, it showed they elevated their customer experience and the staff seem genuinely happy to be there and the little touches of free snacks or just them going out of their way to create a luxury experience for each guest was visible and outstanding. I will treasure this last stay and thank you for a wonderful stay.

I recently took my sister for a two course lunch and spa at the newly renovated barn spa. The ladies were absolutely super and the massages (including a mummy to be massage) was brilliant. My sister and I had an amazing treat and I was so impressed with the new luxury barn facilities. Couldn’t recommend enough!

We stayed over the Easter Holidays for two nights. Our experience started from the seamless check in with Jodie, recognising it was my partner’s birthday she upgraded us, this was unexpected and greatly appreciated. The room was bright, plush and impeccably clean. We were greeted with a welcome note and cake, this sets the bar for the rest of the stay. The team at Down Hall are courteous and professional, any requests were met with a smile. The hotel offers a complimentary sauna and stem room for all its guests. We spent our stay walking in and around its 110 acre lands. The estate is compassionately decorated respecting the history and heritage of the building. We left feeling unburdened and light on our feet. A big thank you to Jodie and her team for giving a wonderful presentation of the hotel and the hospitality we received from our stay was incredible. The management needs to be very proud of their staff-hospitality is a challenging field to succeed in and Down Hall have done so successfully. Warmest congratulations Sumittra
