Kimpton Hotel Enso by IHG

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at Hotel Enso. Great location in Japantown, next to the #2 bus that goes straight to Union Square, or the #22 to the Marina (download the muni app for tickets). Just across the street from the hotel is a pedestrian block with cute restaurants and shops: Hinodeya Ramen bar was excellent! A little further is a mall with a large Daiso. We had a relaxing breakfast at the hotel one morning. The food was carefully prepared, beautiful and delicious, but probably not a great choice if you are in a rush (we were not and really enjoyed it!). The following morning we walked three blocks to Sweet Maple for brunch featuring millionaire bacon. At the hotel we enjoyed the complimentary wine at 5pm and the morning coffee in the lobby. No coffee in the rooms, but looks like you can request a coffee maker for your room among other things. Our room was clean, peacefully decorated, and comfortable. Loved the soap and shampoo scents. The TV didn’t have streaming apps except for $25 movie sales. But if you bring your own devices the free WiFi is fast enough.

Very helpful staff, great location, and nice rooms. Each room seems to have a bay window which makes them really enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the beds are great, and the environment is relaxing.

The lobby is down a half level, which makes it a little dark. Perhaps a little more lighting and more separate seating groups would improve it. Otherwise, this is a wonderful hotel.

Room was comfortable and light. Staff was uniformly frindly and helpful.

The bed was very comfortable! The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The daybed by the window is lovely. The location is convenient to all the major sights. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

The bathtub was not always clean.
