Clean and comfortable

Renovations were taking place but that’s not a big deal. It didn’t affect my stay.

Visiting family in Frederick. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. Check in was quick. Noticed they were painting the exterior. Got to my room and it has plastic over the windows which was not going to work for me since I like to sleep with windows open (if possible). Fatima at the front desk was very helpful and apologetic and quickly changed us to a different room. My daughter’s room also had plastic over the window, but she was fine with that. My other daughter’s room had no plastic over the windows. Assume that exterior painting work is now complete. Rooms are pretty standard, albeit furniture a bit dated. I booked a room with a balcony (Suite) and happy I did as it gave me ample room. Suite has microwave, refrigerator and separate sink in living room area. Our suite was very quiet at night. I like that parking is free. We opted not to have housekeeping service our rooms but would see them daily in the halls. We had daily breakfast at the Bistro. There was some slight confusion over elite benefit and daily credit but it was quickly resolved by front desk. I believe Bistro was training new staff but everyone we encountered was very pleasant. Breakfast food options were good. Every one we encountered at the Courtyard was super friendly and eager to please. Special thank you to Fatima and I believe the other person was named "Janet" (blonde woman). They were great!

I have a charge on my card for $12.54 that is unexplained. What is this charge for?

Construction and landscaping noise was excessive and early morning beginning before 8am.

Convenience

Our stay overall was good, however the indoor pool and fitness room were both closed for upgrades. This was very disappointing to find out after we had already checked in. These were the 2 of the 3 reasons we picked this hotel.

I booked this room for an incoming Real Estate client of mine. She is an extremely fussy type, and very big on cleanliness. She LOVED it! She complimented everything, said she slept very well, and could see her car from her room, which she liked. Great lobby and overall appearance. A+
