Extended Stay America Suites - Columbus - Dublin

This trip caused myself and my fiancé mental anguish. My fiance’s Birthday trip was ruined. The lobby and room were dirty, uninviting and smelly. I was threatened immediately during my check in at the front desk by the attendant because I refused to flirt with her while my fiancé was sick and waiting to use the bathroom. The attendant threatened my life and my fiancé’s life. This is completely unacceptable; and created fear for what was intended to be a stress free birthday for her. Not only that, but there was hotel employee drug activity on the hotel’s property in front of us. Police were present from multiple thefts on the premises on a few separate occasions. Because of the employees behavior and thefts, we felt uncomfortable leaving our belongings in our room, so we were inconveniently forced to bring them back and forth from our car to the room the entirety of our vacation. The staff refused to give us clean towels as well. We ran out fast and dried our bodies with the same towels from the beginning of our stay. Furthermore, my fiancé is native and I am Arabic. We felt as if the staff were racist towards us. I would like a full refund from this unbelievable experience.

Room was okay. Floor was sticky, toilet seat broken, no hot water in bathroom. Receptionist very unfriendly, acted like I was bothering her. Would not stay here again

I arrived shortly before midnight for my scheduled solo stay and when I arrived the clerk couldn’t make me a key and I ended up not having a key all night therefore couldn’t leave my room even if I wanted to. The bedding left me feeling off that night but could have easily been the type of detergent used as I was fine come morning. In the morning the new morning clerk made me a key so that was good. Breakfast was a small 5ft by 2ft counter by the entry doorway that had a decaf/ regular coffee machine, hot water machine, tea pouches, oatmeal packets, and a small two tier basket for fruit n grain bars on top and mini muffins on bottom. Again this was all on a small ledge/ counter only feet from the doorway. I found this hotel to be an okay ones to crash quick for the price though I will most likely will not be a return guest as I have hand just more pleasant experiences for only a little more money.

This hotel is not what the pictures are there is no lobby the front desk attendant wasn’t there after night fell the fire alarms constantly going off outdated building this place is not worth the time I went to my car to grab an item I saw someone come outside pee on the building and started to smoke a blunt next to the entry way seems like most people that are there live there our floor smelled like old food and pee my son and I turned on the shower and black stuff like dirt started to come out the shower head I don’t know how but it did the room seems like it was glossed over the bedding looks like it’s been there for years the beds lumpy and flat like someone laid in it and never got up found old moldy cereal box in cabinet the breakfast is packaged muffins or stale oatmeal and cold coffee the prices online are a lie also seems like they want a good buck for bare minimal I’ve read reviews after the stay to see what people said and the replies they got from corporate on how they will improve they never did that building should be demolished

Made a reservation for a colleague at this hotel. He was given a rollaway bed to sleep on and said it was not a hotel but permanent living quarters for those who resided there and it smelled heavily of mold. Very disapopinted, extended stays are usually quite nice.

1. First night the electricity in the room was out and it was blackout. The electricity was not restored, and we had to move from room on 3rd floor to another room on 2nd floor in total darkness. There were no emergency lights in the room and hotel, so we used i-phone light to move a lot of luggage. The lack of emergency lights and guidance is very dangerous in the emergency such as a fire, and it cannot be said that the safety of guests is maintained at this hotel. This is a very serious matter for hotel guests. 2, There was no coffee maker in the room. At this hotel, kitchen tools and other items are rented from the front desk, but there was no coffee maker or toaster in stock. 3. When I arrived at the hotel after 4 p.m. and tried to check in, I was made to wait for about 40 minutes, and at the end I was given the hotel's iPad and told to enter my name and address. 4. When we entered the room, there was a strong smell of deodorant or disinfectant. I immediately opened the window to ventilate, but my wife, who is allergic to chemicals, had a headache. If you're looking for safety and comfort, you shouldn't choose this hotel. 5. In this hotel free breakfast means hot water with Oatmeal powder pack and lukewarm coffee. I was scheduled to stay for 6 nights, but I actually stayed for one night. After that, I found another hotel and ran away. I had been waiting for the manager since the early morning to get a refund for 5 nights, but she finally showed up before 10 o'clock. As soon as I tried to explain, he went into the back room and yelled at me, "I've heard all about the power outage, and you should have left without staying, so why did you change room and stay after the power went out?" Perhaps she mistakenly thought that she was being asked for a full refund. But I was able to pay for 1 night and get a refund for 5 nights. Even so, her attitude is not that of someone who works in the service industry.
