"HOTEL IS CLOSED. Don't book"

Had reservations for months in advance. Called day of arrival and they confirmed reservation. Arrived and the hotel was closed down. Was told it has been closed for more than a month. Ball was dropped on so many levels. Extended Stay lying to me. Hotels.com not notifying me of the shutdown.

I reserved a room and when I showed up, there was no power. So, I did not bother to check in. I canceled but they tried to charge me , anyway.
