Inn at La Porte

Overall our stay was fine. The only problem we had was that the pool water was green with things floating in it. The kids wanted to swim but we refuse to let them get in.

There's a light/ alarm at the right side corner of the window that was blinking all night. Also, the carpet was dirty, and the toilet tank was cracked (safety hazard). Pool need to be cleaned more often (chemicals)

We arrived early for our 3 o’clock check-in time. When speaking with the front desk at about 1:30 we were told we’d have to wait until three to get a room. That was no problem at all. When I asked about using the fitness center to work out, we were told until our room was ready, that that was not an option because we had to officially check in before being able to use any of the amenities. When I asked about the breakfast I was told that he wasn’t sure where it’s located. I asked a few more questions about the property and all of the answers that were offered were done so with disinterest. When we arrived later in the day to finally check in the staff was much more helpful however, the cars that were underneath the awning for guest check-in stayed there all afternoon and night and didn’t allow access easy for customers to park and move luggage without getting wet. The first employee we encounter did not make a good first. Impression.

The breakfast was awful. The powdered eggs were disgusting. The options were so limited. The biscuits tasted like that had been reheated over and over again. The water machine was broken.

The cleanliness in our room was poor. We found black hairs on the bedding. There was debris and signs of oiled linens made us feel uneasy.

Our ac didn’t work and they claimed it was cuz the sun is beating on that side of the building but even at 10pm it didn’t work it was 77 in our room and they finally decided to lend us fans cuz it was fully booked and couldn’t move us rooms and then that same night out rr flooded and they claimed they couldn’t move us rooms since it was fully booked and refused to give any discount

We loved it

Everything was great, the room was spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed. Staff cleaned my room. Only problem our toilet got stopped up but the staff was nice and gave me a plunger I greatly appreciate it. Need more items to choose for breakfast it was ok could be better. Overall had a great stay will return.

Not a great experience and don't know who to blame, Hotels.com let me book a room at a hotel that has no power due to the hurricane. It has been 3 days since the hurricane and I'm wondering how it was even allowed to book the room? So instead my family and I had to stay in a hot house with no electricity because it was too late to try and find a room. Very very poor and now I don't trust the app.
