Swissotel Quito

We enjoyed an excellent three-day stay. The hotel is clean, modern, spacious, and well located, with restaurants and a large grocery store within easy walking distance. The staff were pleasant and professional. We had breakfast each morning at the buffet, and it was excellent — no complaints at all. We ate at the Japanese restaurant one evening, and it was also very good, although a bit pricy. One issue arose during our stay, due to communications about a complexity in our reservation. The hotel could have insisted on a significant charge, but after some discussion ensured that we were not charged. I was very happy with the customer-first attitude of the front desk manager. Overall, a great hotel. I recommend it.

The breakfast was amazing, great selection of fresh fruits, pastries, local specialty foods (two kinds of ceviche) plus omelets and typical breakfast foods like waffles. They also had a selection of croissants, coffee and fruit available before 6 am which we appreciated as we had a very early start one morning.

Everything was perfect.
