Holiday Inn Express London Gatwick - Crawley by IHG

I like it the breakfast and the service provided by the staff

The property was adequate for what we needed, a location close to Gatwick that allowed vehicle parking. There was a decent restaurant adjacent to the property that was a nice surprise.

Great place I would definitely recommend and excellent facilties and, best of all, very friendly and helpful staff ready to offer advice for places to eat and visit. Couldn't fault it!

Convenient place to stay for a flight to Gatwick. Parking also available at £9.

Rooms are cold. Although you have the impression that you can control the temperature of the room, you can’t the rooms are cold

Althought it is possible that other guests may have had a different experience if they were staying in a different flioor other than the ground floor, I must say that mine was not good. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. The ground floor seemed to have been neglected. The carpet was very dirty at some areas. Some areas were used as storage of old staff.It just did not feel like being in a holiday inn express like I am used to. Not sure what the upper levels look like. I ordered chicken wings and onion rings to take to my room. The onion rings were soft and not tasty. The guy at reception was nice. He asked if I wanted to change rooms but I was tied a had already unpacked. Besides I was not expecting to have the ground floor get better. I recomment that the ground floor be made better to the stadards of Holiday inn express. The other good thing is that the bus stop is right next to the hotel. It costs €2.60 one way to the south terminal Bus # 20. Perfect if you only have hand luggage. The trip is 15 minutes. Not sure if I am going back to this hotel.

The staff were superb. The hotel is a little dated; but more than adequate for a stay before flying out of Gatwick, which is only a few minutes drive. The free breakfast was great.
