Residence Inn by Marriott Anchorage Midtown

Get there to check in at 1 am. I’m told they”don’t have a room” they can get one ready and it’ll be 15 mins if I’d like to wait. I paid $600 for a single room

Pool area, footage in the room and location was fine.

We were charged for data service @$9.95 @ day and the 3 tv’s didn’t work consistently every day. Called front desk and was told the staff who could work on the issue had left for the day and that was about 6:00 PM on maybe Tuesday. Also had to have staff on Sunday when we arrived to fix the issue. Our grandson was able to resolve the issue with his tech savvy when issues occurred . Charged $64.98 for a roll away @day that literally had springs nearly coming through the material. We got a couple of duvets to alleviate the issue. Would never book at a Marriott again. Total charge for 5 days/nights $3112 plus change definitely not worth the cost. Maybe in “fine” print but nothing about cleaning/updating room each day without requesting. So no emptying garbage or soiled towels. Totally unacceptable unless the front desk personnel would simply explain when checking in.

Breakfast could have been better. All else ok.

Breakfast was pretty limited. Also in a big hurry to close up at the mentioned time. We have come here for a holiday, a little allowance can earn you some goodwill.

This is a clean hotel, 10 minute cab ride from downtown, Anchorage. They have a very nice breakfast. The pool was being renovated when I was there and while the lobby looks new, the rooms could use updating. The room has a kitchenette which is a nice feature. While I was there, we had the one room where the air conditioning was Not working. Being that the temperature at night was in the 50s, we left a window open and had a fan running. We managed but that really was annoying considering we paid over $400 a night. They would have changed our room but they were fully booked. Despite the inconvenience I would still recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise to Alaska prior to heading to Fairbanks. We stayed in a room with 2 bedrooms which was nice after squeezing into a stateroom Although this is on the best Residence Inn, this is a solid stay. My only complaint is that the room and hallways seemed really dark.

Easy for Uber to find and 10$ into town. Great brekkie. Good place. Clean great bed pillows. Had 2 bedroom suite for 4 of us and it was worth it.

Just wish there was a better coffee maker, and perhaps a water filter for drinking. Everything else was really good. Our other house.

This hotel has top notch service. Managers Antoinette and Kim provided a warm welcome and my room was immaculate. Friendly staff at breakfast, housekeeping and front desk! Can’t ask for a better stay! I was so impressed with breakfast offerings and location was perfect.

Great for a short stay.

Overall, our experience here was good. The front desk staff was always professional and polite, and our room was clean, although the overall decor of the facility felt dated. The breakfast each morning was fresh and hot. On the down side, there didn't seem to be any predictability on when our room would be cleaned - and when it was, there was always at least one trashcan that didn't get dumped. There were issues with regulating the temperature in the room - and the AC was out for 2 nights. We did get comped for those 2 nights - but that didn't make us feel anymore rested!!! There was an icemaker in the freezer in our room, and that was a welcome surprise! The location of this hotel is a little odd. Tucked back by a business park, so there were no restaurants within walking distance. Yeah - overall it was good, but would probably choose somewhere a little closer to restaurants and shopping next time.
