USBeautiful site on the water. Free shuttle pick up at the hotel for the ferry to Mackinac Island. Breakfast was good. We wanted to stay in St Ignus, rather than Mackinaw City and that turned out to be a good decision for us.
Noise from other rooms and footstep sounds from floor above.

Very nice HIE. Clean. Friendly. Typical breakfast. Some rooms have lake view with balcony - which are very good. Outdoors there is a lovely patio with chairs, a fire pit, and beautiful flowers. Grounds are kept very well.

Tile floors (vanity and bathroom) could have been cleaner.
Great outdoor area, beach and fire pit, plenty of seating. Clean and comfortable. Very hospitable staff, wonderful options for continental breakfast. The only not real complaint but a bit of a downside is (at least on the ground floor) you can hear the people walking and using water or toilet upstairs but the sliding glass door access to the beach and fire pit more than made up for it! I would stay there again if I’m ever back in the area.

Didn’t like the barking dogs on the first floor, and was happy that the front desk moved us to two rooms on a different floor. Because the first floor is the pet floor, I think maybe that’s why the carpeting didn’t look very clean. We loved our balconies overlooking Lake Huron, however, and the beach was a nice place to hang out.
