Beach area needs more sand. It was mostly gravel which is hard on bare feet and not a true beach experience.

Carpets stained and need to be replaced. Unable to lock my sliding glass door. Lots of windows and light in the lobby and hallways , but the were dirty so not very pleasant to look out. My room could have been cleaner. Found several spiders on walls
We recently spent 2 nights here. Our room was in the middle of the 4th floor, with a nice view of the lake and Mackinac Island. The room was clean. Shower was clean and water was hot. The room had a nice patio where you could sit and listen to the lake. Note that the room does not have a microwave, but there is one available in the buffet area. There's a convenient shuttle to the nearby Shepler's ferry so you don't have to pay for parking. The front desk will call them for you. The buffet was one of the best I've had at a Holiday Inn. Tons of choices, every condiment imaginable, lots of fresh fruit. They always kept it fully stocked. Couldn't have asked for more. Really enjoyed it.
USUSLocation was beautiful and quiet. The fire pit was wonderful for meeting people and chatting about places to visit.
Needed a snacks location, (chips, cookies, popcorn packets) vending machine was very underrated.

Great bar and food service! Staff was knowledgable and friendly. Bartender was helpful and a delight!

the staff are so accomodating. breakfast time was longer. i like the location, near to shopping area and restaurant and has bar just beside the building near the lake. pet friendly
