Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alcoa Knoxville Airport by IHG

The hotel was clean. Well run. They accommodated me, my wife and our service dog very well. The breakfast service was awesome as well as the management. Highly recommend.

For the most part i enjoyed my stay at the Alcoa Holiday Inn Express. i found Terra to be quite personable, and Tyler to be thoroughly helpful when i interacted with them. However, the hotel has noise problems which the local staff would not be able to resolve. The good news is you cannot hear the airport. The bad news is: The locks on the room entry doors are sturdy and make a vivid latching sound when closing, but the doors are thin. So if one is in the room without sound from the tv to mask, every room which is entered and exited nearby sounds like the occupants have lost their patience and are intending to slam their doors. Further, the window did not have sufficient structure to block outside noises, so again if sound from a tv or similar does not mask, one hears every obnoxious motorcycle and redneck's truck on SR35/South Hall going by. The only issue the local staff could attend to (which could be excused if they stay completely booked often) would be taking the covering off the air unit and giving it a thorough cleaning as mine was very conspicuously dirty. Fairly said, i don't know if any other competitor's options nearby have been built with more concern for preserving peace and quiet in the rooms.

Nice and clean, pleasant and friendly staff. Nice hot showers with great water pressure, comfy beds! …. And fantastic price! A great value!

Friendly staff and nice room. There was an issue with the television and they offered to give us a different room and awarded us extra points. Very pleased with the customer service.

It was modern, had lots of amenities, and was a great location.

My room was extremely humid. After a day of running the Air Conditioning at full and then running the heat at full all night, the room felt wet. The entry way floor was wet enough to be slippery. We told staff about it and how it was uncomfortable and the only solution that was offered was “we’ll make a note of it.” No one came to look at it, no other room was offered, nothing.

Do not stay here. We traveled here from PA for a visit and as soon as we walked into our room I was horrified. The room is WET - not just a little humid. The floor itself was sticky wet and all of the linens were damp feeling. Everything we touched was gross and damp which just makes me wonder how much mold exists in the room. They put us in a pet friendly room and the carpet is stained and unsightly and there is a musty smell. When we talked to the front office staff, my husband asked if anything could be done about the uncomfortable situation and without even offering an apology or seeing if they could help, the young man awkwardly said ‘okaaaaaay…’ as if we were being an inconvenience. He did however say that he would make a note of it. That’s it. He did not seem to care one tiny bit. Might be the worst hotel experience I’ve had. What a bummer.

The front desk attendants were super kind and helpful with hints for eateries around town. The hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful. Also, there were really sweet women who prepared the breakfast, and the coffee was surprisingly good! Plenty of items to choose from at breakfast - something for everybody. Easy check in and out, and my king bed was very comfy!
