Excelent great service beautiful place great ocean view

The receptionists at check in were extremely helpful. My mom needed an accessible room and they made a significant effort to allow us an early and late check in/out in an accessible room. It was a bit cumbersome getting back and forth from the beach to the room. we needed a golf cart. however, they were usually very responsive. However, I do recommend having at least one or two accessible wheelchairs or chairs with hard backs available on the beach itself. It was great that they had a lifeguard on duty because the rip current was strong. it was very quiet and peaceful not many people were there and it felt very relaxing. all the amenities were very well kept and beautiful. my one main issue was the food /cost. The food was very expensive and the quality was not great. Filtered water was not easy to access and it was very expensive to buy. overall, it was a great place, and does require some advance planning if you need any extra accommodations but the staff will do their best to meet your needs.

The location was nice. Some of the staff was not very friendly. Additionally, went to the free breakfast and the waiter mentioned that water, coffee and orange juice were included. Was instead charged for the buffet fee because we ordered an OJ.

Has a great European vibe. The views were breathtaking.. and it was a quiet resort so you could actually relax.

I have had the opportunity to stay at other hotels in Huatulco. Camino Real Zaashila is certainly my favourite option. It has a beautiful beach and swimming pool, amazing service, and very comfortable facilities. I would come back for sure.

Great grounds and beach. Breakfasts were super. Nice buffet with good selection. Did not do dinners there but plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity. Our problems were with the amenities. Had to beg every day for clean towels. They would clean the room and take the dirty towels but not replace them. We literally had no towels in the room. And this was in a suite with a splash pool. Also was supposed to have a coffee maker in the room. There was none. After begging for a day they finally brought one to our room-but no coffee. The next day they brought one packet of coffee to us. After more begging they finally delivered 6 or 7 packets to us which we made last for the duration of our stay. Overall the staff was pleasant but service was inconsistent. For a 5 star hotel we expected more. .

Worst place I’ve ever stayed, I’ve stayed in places in Mexico where there is no electricity and that was a better experience

This is not our first stay at CR. We loved it in the past. This time, we noticed that the service has deteriorated. We did not even have clean bathroom towels. They left us with the bathroom size towels as hand towels and no wash towels. We had ants in the bathroom, we had to ask to check the temperature of the refrigerator since it was not cooling and asked for fresh pillows because they smelled stale and musty. They made our bed only 3 times in the seven days we were there. We also had an incident with the bellboy who challenged us when my brother came to visit and have breakfast with us. He made a “smart” remark insinuating that we were having a three persons affair in the room. I had to talk to the front desk staff who indicated that the manager would talk to us. That never happened. That guy does not represent the care and smiles the rest of the staff had.

I really enjoyed the peacefulness of this resort, the beautiful beach (with seashells!), my oceanfront room view, the delicious daily breakfast, and the friendly staff. The age of the property is noticeable, but if you don’t mind carefully stepping over a few cracked walkways and asking for your musty pillows to be replaced, you’ll appreciate the reasonable price and lack of boisterous crowds. 🧡🌊☀️
