The Bidwell Marriott Portland

The staff were so friendly and all seemed like interesting people! They were helpful and the hotel was attractive, clean and comfortable. It was in a convenient location near the waterfront. I also loved that they have filtered water available on every floor. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, we loved everything about this hotel and would stay again. Very easy to get there on the MAX red line from the airport and very central location for a home base while visiting Portland.

Every single member of the staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the complimentary beer and wine at afternoon check-in. Convenient to restaurants and light rail. Great urban vibe. Loved this hotel!

The room was fine, the staff that greeted us were very nice and welcoming.

The rooms are nice and big. The front desk staff is indifferent and unfriendly.

The room was a double not a king. The front desk person said that was because their system overbooked and there wasn’t nothing they could do. When I politely asked if they could do something to make it better, he said “maybe” they could knock a couple of dollars off the price but he was busy and couldn’t deal with it right now. There was no line at the front desk at the time. I was being polite. I was really surprised by how little he cared even though he admitted they were the ones that made the mistake.

Clean, hip, modern vibe with a great staff

This gem of a Marriott property is located in the heart of the Rose City, steps away from myriad dining and sightseeing options as well as the tram around the city and to/from the airport. The decor is playful - there is a giant desk lamp in the lobby - and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We had great service in particular from Levi, Anthony, Danni, and Travis who all knocked it out of the park in different ways. We would not hesitate for a second to stay here again when visiting Portland.

Portland has no shortage of hotels downtown, but I used to scramble to find one for work travel with the right amount of personality—something with nice touches, good vibes, amenities and maybe even a smile at check-in. Not anymore! Now that I’ve found the Bidwell, I’m welcomed by familiar, friendly faces, a nightly happy hour (yes, free drinks!), and a neighborhood packed with great restaurants - and top notch staff recommendations! It’s got the perfect balance of comfort, class, and “keep Portland weird” energy. This is officially my business travel home base in Portland. No need to look elsewhere—unless it’s for new restaurant recommendations!!!

Customer service sets this hotel apart. From the welcoming valet, Cameron and Josh are always super friendly and helpful, to the front desk with Levi and Anthony, who always remember me by name and are just so pleasant to see upon walking in. I can’t say enough about this hotel and their staff.
