Essayed the cleaner for the room was absolutely fantastic person. Left us different characters using towels. Absolutely lovely bloke. The room was cleaned perfectly.

A trip to the Sharaton ultimately ends up with a drink in the relaxing lobby bar. The area is pleasing to the eye and spotlessly clean. Hamada Saeed, gave excellent service that went above and beyond. All staff were professional and friendly but Hamada made us feel extra special. We would cerainly recomend this hotel on our experience of guest services.

The hotel was really nice. They had foam party’s and animation. I would recommend. The Bar service manger was very helpful and good.

This holiday was intended for total relaxation and that's exactly what we achieved. We didn't venture outside the hotel so can't comment on any trips or the surrounding area but the hotel is lovely. The room was large and well laid out, towels changed daily, great towel art by Mohammed. Tea, coffee and bottled water replenished every day. The food may not be to everyone's taste but this is Egypt not Benidorm. It was all fresh, well stocked and looked tasty. My husband enjoyed trying new foods that we possibly wouldn't have at home. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming including Ahmed Hamed, Ahmed Ali, Abram Zakaria to name just a few. Our beach bar waiter was amazing, supplying a constant supply of drinks, it was just a shame they closed the Starlight bar after a couple of days as it meant he had to walk a lot further!! Music on the beach could be a bit loud at times with the same playlist each day but again that's personal choice and it wasn't played all day. Just a few hours each morning and afternoon. The entertainment team did their best to encourage an unwilling audience. Most people seemed quite happy to read or sleep. The Spa has recently reopened and is well worth a visit. We both had the after sun package to round off the week - sauna, jacuzzi, full body massage and facial, €65 each and very good value. If we returned I would also have a treatment at the beginning of the week to de-stress!!

After reading mixed reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. On first impressions the hotel is dated and the Marriott team could do with spending some money in modernising some areas, bathrooms in particular. You walk in and feel like you are taken back to a grand hotel in the 70s. Another thing which could help is a guide to the hotel or quick tour when you arrive as we did feel a bit lost for the first couple of days. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with big balconies and fantastic views out to sea. Beds were very comfy. The staff are what make this hotel. They work tirelessly, always with a smile and can’t do enough to make your stay the best possible. As others say, buffet could improve with better choices although we always found something and keeping in mind it is geared towards different nationalities it is hard to keep everyone happy. Breakfasts were great and if you go outside and walk to the right there is a large cooking station, eggs at breakfast, pasta and spaghetti dishes at lunch and pasta and bbq meats at dinner. Book the à la cartes well in advance as they are popular and book up quickly. Between 3 and 5 each afternoon at the eating area by the pool there were chips and burger or chips and fish etc. At check in you will get beach towel cards, these can be exchanged for towels each day on the beach which is handy. Beach is big with plenty of sun loungers and no matter what time we went we could always get some. If you want a windbreaker you need to be down by about tenish. There are red flags which meant to stop the guys selling things on the beach from coming to you, however, im assuming as we were 2 females on our own, we still had some unwanted sellers coming over and plonking themselves on our subbed to ask did we want massages or to book tours. Special thanks to Mohamed aka ‘Andy’ at the beach bar to the left as you walk from the hotel to the beach, he kept us supplied with all sorts of different drinks and was a pleasure to chat with and also Ahmed Handi who looked after our room and kept us delighted with towel art. So many other lovely staff but didn’t get names but thank you all!

Great holiday, perfect location for a relaxing beach holiday, we found all staff to be very good and happy in their work. There were a few that we feel need individual mentions. Elsayed our room cleaner looked after us very well, the room was always well cleaned, he went above and beyond with in room displays to make my wife’s birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary that extra bit special with his perfect touches with the flowers displays. Abram Zakaria the Italian restaurant manager looked after us for my wife’s birthday, welcoming us in with his great smile, showed us to a -refectory prepared table and looked after us well all night. He is a credit to your hotel. Our second special occasion was our 40th wedding anniversary which we celebrated in the Lebanese restaurant where Rafik Omar met us and showed us to our table, once again the effort that had gone in to making the table special was outstanding, throughout the night Rafik looked after us and made the evening extra special, not only that you can see he is very experienced and very happy in his work. Another outstanding member of staff. The final staff member that I would like to mention is Muhammed Hassen, he had assisted in the organising of our special requests and helped us feel right at home from beginning to end. Once again always happy to help and clearly enjoyed his work. We look forward to our next visit.
