"Reception MOHAMED A ELROUS"

8.0

We have been helped on numerous occasions by young MOHAMED A ELROUS who works in the hotel reception at the Sheraton, nothing has been to much, he even changed our room 5 times. He has patience and always has a smile on his face even when under pressure. Well done MO!

"Exceptional Service and Top-Tier All-Inclusive Experience!"

10.0

This hotel is absolutely worth it! The grounds are beautiful and full of attractions that make for a perfect stay. We spent a lot of time at the White Cruiser Restaurant, where the atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. A huge thank you to Manager Ahmed Hammed for being so friendly and accommodating—he truly leads a great team. Special mentions must go to Mouhab and Saheed; their customer service skills are exceptional, making every meal a pleasant experience. The all-inclusive package is top-notch. You get endless access to a fantastic variety of food and drinks, so you never go hungry or thirsty. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a high-quality, stress-free holiday!

"Not as good as expected"

8.0

As we entered the Sheraton Sharm we were greeted by Mohammed A. Elrous at reception who invited us to go eat and then return for our room key and was a very helpful guy. We found the room to be large with plenty of room and the balcony was a large area to sit in to have a morning coffee. We had dressing robes nice and heavy and slippers to wear in the room which is a nice touch. The internet in the room was good but around the hotel is hit and miss. Our room was cleaned every day and water replenished and towel art let on the bed which always made my wife smile our cleaner was Akram Tharwat 10out of 10 excellent job works so hard all day long. Tv in the room was nice to have shame all the channels were in another language it would have been nice for 1 or 2 English speaking channels not to much to ask from a 4 star hotel. The best views are from the top floors we were on floor 5 nice views. There seemed to be a little lack of information as to what food is available where and when. Breakfast was much the same every day it was nice to have fresh fruit but a change now and again some grapes or strawberries maybe even watermelon for a change would be nice. Lunch was much the same everyday and dinner much the same with some changes now and again I had beef goulash 3 or 4 times because I couldn’t find much else I liked. Most of the time the food was just warm at best. Nice selection of salad would have been nice to know what they were with some sort of sign or description by them. The desserts of small sponge cakes are nice to start with but by the end of the week I was all caked out they all tasted the same. Banana crumble was nice maybe an apple crumble custard or even apple pie would have been nice at some point. It got boring very quick maybe a visit from Gordon Ramsey would make a difference. The lady at the entrance to the dining hall always had a big smile everyday which was always nice to see then she went home for a couple of days and a guy called Abram Zakaria did a great job while she was away. The hotel was nice and spacious in the lobby areas. The pool areas and beach were kept mostly clean guys always cleaning inside and outside the hotel. It was a shame the pool with the waterfall in the waterfall was not working as shown in most of the photos advertising this hotel which is a nice feature but as I said shame it wasn’t working and there is a water feature that runs through the entertainment area down the middle of the outside of the hotel again not working shame but not explanation given why they didn’t work. The hotel works on what I would call a 2 tier system which is if you tip you get looked after better and that’s a shame because we all paid to stay at this hotel and therefore I believe we should all be treated the same way. The hotel has a large number of Russian and Italian guests. When on the beach or buy the pool you will be approached daily by the guys selling spa treatments beauty treatments or trips. The trips are sold by the dive centre on the site of the hotel and I will share my experience with you so you know what to expect. The first time we were approached and asked if we would like to book any trips I told the guy we had already booked trips with a company called Sharm life which we have done on our past visits to Sharm and he was surprised to know that the cost was a lot less than they were asking and that was that. A couple of days later we was approached again by a different guy and after some discussion and a little interest from me the first guy came over and we arrange a price to go and a trip to Ras Mohamed national park buy mini van to see the sights and do some snorkelling. He asked if we had snorkel gear and to take it with us if we wanted to snorkel first mistake he didn’t explain fully what we needed to take snorkel gear to most people means a snorkel and mask. We took or snorkel and masks with us and left our coral shoes and fins behind as they were not mentioned. So we got picked up and after driving around for an hour picking up others we ended up getting off the bus to be put in a que to hire snorkel equipment this we was not told when booking the trip at the hotel. I told our guide the we had snorkel equipment with us but he insisted we needed to have a life jacket which I understand and fins and we was going to be charged for them so I told him I wasn’t going to pay and I wouldn’t be snorkel as we were told no coral shoes or fins then we couldn’t snorkel. I told him I wasn’t happy as I believed It had been misleading and it was all about the money to which his reply was no it isn’t I will give them to you for free. It was only later I found out that he phoned the guys who we booked the trip with and got them to pay for the equipment so it was really all about the money. So after we got the fins and life jackets it was all back on the bus with a drive to Ras Mohamed to go snorkelling when we get there we put our life jackets and fins on but my wife can’t really use fins and is very scared to get into the sea as she is afraid she will fall over so decided not to use them and was told that she could go in without coral shoes or fins so ended up sitting on the sand watching me and others go into the sea. I must explain apart frond us and another English couple the rest of the group which was 2 vans were Russian and Italians mostly. As I was snorkelling I noticed some or the Russians snorkelling with bear feet so when I returned to the beach and mentioned this to my wife to say she was pissed was an understatement as we went to Sharm especially to see the wonderful sea life and colourful fish in the Red Sea. This then put us in a unhappy mood and the rest of the trip just got worse as at each stop the guide spent 5-10 minutes explaining to the others in our group what things are etc then we got a 2 minute explanation which made us feel unimportant and not as important as others on this trip. It was one of if not the worst trip I have ever been on in Egypt. When we returned to the hotel I went and found the guy who sold us the trip and told him what a waist of time the trip was and how we were treated by the tour guide. We had a long conversation and at the end he wanted to apologise to my wife who was in our room unhappy about the trip and offered us full us of the equipment at the dive centre to snorkel the following day which happened to be our last day. Most of the week the hotel reef was choppy at best the wind was not good most days and I said that I didn’t expect it to be any different on Monday and in fact it was worse than most days do not really a good day to go snorkelling as the wave would keep pushing towards the reef. We packed up our cases in the morning had lunch and spent the last few hours before being picked up to go back to the airport with on sign of the guy and no apologies for my wife In ruining one of our 7 days holiday. The lesson I learn from this is stick to the people you trust and don’t trust guys trying to seal you trips to make money out of you. Look at my other reviews and you will know Sharm Life will not let you down. As for returning to the Sheraton the rooms are good the staff mostly helpful and always smile. The rest I’m not sure it did it for me. I think I expected more and was disappointed I’m sorry to say.

"Sheraton Resort"

10.0

Our stay at Sheraton was really enjoyable. All staff have been very hospitable and looked after us throghout our stay. The service has been quick in all places around the hotel and staff members always had a smile on. The beach was massive, there were always empty loungers available. The reef was beautiful, entrance to the sea if from the jetty though you use a snorkel and hold onto a rope you’ll be able to look at all the fishes. If you go to the right side of the beach you’ll find a tiny lagoon that is good for the kids as the water level is very shallow. The are several pools available (pool in a cave and another one upstairs) although most of the people were staying by the main one since it’s heated. Entertainment staff were engaging, they provided a variety of activities to do and we joined in most of the time. We also participated in karaoke/disco nights that were held in a separate nightclub looking place. Thankfully during the week we stayed (mid march) the weather was mostly nice and warm so we were able to enjoy the sun though we did have to hide away from the wind on some days. Overall our stay was definitely really pleasant. Recommend for visiting
