Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown by IHG

What a place! Once we entered, we felt as though we were transported to an entirely different place. From the first person to greet us in the lobby and the kind gentleman who checked us in, to the housekeeping staff and maintenance team, all were so friendly that we felt like a king and queen! And then the room... so nice. The bed was a little high, but it was the perfect firmness for both of us. The closet was huge and the bathroom was very nice, with a step-in shower. Beware; there is no shower door. The water can soak the floor if not careful. We ate dinner in the restaurant Agave & Masa. Best experience of the richness of Tex-Mex! My husband I ordered the Quesadillas and enjoyed sharing two different types served with Rice and Black Beans. Outstanding quality and taste.

Convenient to be downtown, but nightmare for parking. We did valet, which was nice to not have to worry about where to park and unload. BUT we waited over 40 minutes to get our car in the morning as he helped 4 people who came after us before us. Continental breakfast was good! Lady running it was efficient and very friendly.

Room was dirty and run down. I get the old building but considering after we showered and walked around the room our feet were black. It was hardwood floors, could’ve used a swiffer. Elevators old and a little scary.

Nothing to be honest

1) toilet seat Broken 2) Someone else Hair clumped on walls of shower 3) Says free parking, which is a lie (only Free parking on busy city street with no parking spots ever) so it's valet or $35 for parking deck 4) can't stand outside hotel w/o being hassled every 2 minutes by a homeless person 5) Hotel & room are outdated and not worth the price they are charging

We have stayed here multiple times over the years and did again for the Browns/Packers game. Good win by the way. The hotel is perfectly located close to everything downtown. Parking is very convenient less than half a block away. Valet is available but we always park ourselves. Check-in was simple and the desk clerk was extremely pleasant. The rooms are fine for an overnight stay. The bathrooms could use an update as they're on the older side. We've done the breakfast in the past, which was fine, but did not on this occasion. I would certainly stay again the next time we're in town for a game or event.
