Hotel Shattuck Plaza

The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. They reached out several times to see if anything was needed and see how our stay was. The hotel was very clean all around. Would recommend staying here,

I have stayed here twice before in a much better room. Room was corner and small, TV did not work until the end of second day. When I am paying the highest price for this stay for graduation, the quality was the least. $34 breakfast buffet was cold. If you are busy during grad week and move the rices higher to take advantage, then service has to be better. i pick this hotel for location historic feel. The room was bright at 5 am due to the curtain boxes. Imentioned it to desk when we checked out that we tried to shove pillows to keep it dar, and block out the mroning sun, but they just made a note. When we said the breakfast was cold, they did the same thing. kind of a oops, but never a fix.

Tenia una habitación superior, y no me la dieron hasta el dia sigiuiente, de pasar la primera noche en una habiatción que no era la contratada, y de tener que protestar durante toda la mañana siguiente y tener que cambiar de de habitación¡, habiendo pagado 650 euros por habitación.

We had a very very bad experience. Key issues: 1. AC was not working. We were given a fan and the reason given was that it is very hot outside so temperatures inside the room are high because of that. Temperature inside was 76 degrees. 2. There was no warm water for the shower when we were taking a shower onto get ready to go to our daughter's graduation. Reason given to us was that the hotel has a lot of people and they are taking showers at the same time. 3. Last one takes the prize. There was $49.50 daily charge put on our tab without telling us for valet parking. We had no car, never told the hotel that we have a car and there was thus no license number. We checked our credit card after 4 days and were surprised to see all these fraudulent charges. Had we not checked, we would have been charged. Needless to say, we will never ever stay here again. Marriott or Graduate are better options.

I booked the Shattuck Suite directly through the Hotel Shattuck Plaza website because of the specific amenities shown in the listing photos, especially the 1.5 bathrooms and dual-sink layout. Those details were a major reason I chose to pay for that particular suite. When I arrived, I was informed the suite had been oversold and I was placed into a different suite that did not match the room I reserved or the amenities advertised online. To be fair, I tried to stay understanding and keep a positive attitude during the stay. At checkout, I was told management would work with me to make things right and that I should follow up with the General Manager. Unfortunately, after four emails, multiple follow-up attempts, and two weeks of waiting, I have received no meaningful response from management. Mistakes can happen in hospitality, but ignoring a guest after promising a resolution is disappointing, especially when a premium room was booked specifically for its advertised features. I’m leaving this review mainly because the lack of communication and accountability after the stay has been far more frustrating than the original issue itself.
