Central location great unit to take the family

The location was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was dirty, it smelt very musky and dusty. There was hair on the dining table, in the bed and particles of dirt spread throughout the apartment. I couldn't wait to get home and shower after staying here, I just felt so dirty. It wasn't just the dirt, the whole place was run down and needs an immediate overhaul.

The unit is in dire need of refurbishment. The shower, bath, floors and seating were stained. Bits of the skirting were damaged. The dishwasher did not work at all. The cooker was too dirty to use.the configuration of the second bedroom made shutting its door impossible, and there were no coat hangers in the closet. In addition its proximity to the hallway outside meant a disturbed night as people went past the window. We have photos to support this review four of which are posted below.

The noise from the street was so loud and the price for little amount of sleep. If you can wear earplugs it is ok.

The location was about the only thing that is what I could like about this apartment

I wouldn’t recommend staying at James Court Adina Serviced Apartments in Canberra. The place is extremely run down and poorly maintained. Our first room had visible black mould, which is completely unacceptable, and it didn’t improve much from there. Moving to a room that has been ‘freshly audited’ we were greeted with cobwebs, dust and ripped curtains. Alas, we accepted this room as it was lacking black the visible black mould. The whole property feels stuck in time, like it hasn’t been updated (or deep cleaned) since it opened in 1991. There’s clear water damage throughout, paint missing with damaged walls, and the balcony was covered in bird droppings. It honestly felt closer to a budget backpackers than serviced apartments. To be calling it ‘serviced’ apartments is a far, far stretch from reality, as nothing has been serviced in a very long time. It’s to the point where it probably needs a tear down and rebuild. Customer service was also hit and miss. One of the front desk staff came across quite sassy and unhelpful, which didn’t help the situation. That said, Humphrey did try his best to assist and at least approached things with a good attitude. Comfort was also a big issue. The lounge was incredibly uncomfortable, and the bed was rock hard, making it difficult to get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, a very disappointing experience and far below what you’d expect for the price.
