"Perfect"

10.0

Great hotel in a perfect location. Nice balcony overlooking the bay. Very attentive staff in all areas. Faultless and amaizing value. Well cooked breakfast. Why pay more to stay elsewhere in St Brelades bay when you get all you need at the Golden Sands at a fraction of the price.

"Exceeded our expectations!"

10.0

Have stayed here on numerous occasions but this time we were truly spoilt. Room was exceptional as was the view. Staff are genuinely pleased to see you and offer a very special experience. The owners should be very proud of the team. We were well and truly spoilt and can’t wait to book our next visit.

"Great seaside hotel"

10.0

We had a wonderful two night stay in a lovely room with a sea view. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The room was spacious and well appointed with a great sea view. The restaurant was very good and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. As we were visiting outside peak season the car park opposite was free. All in all a great couple of days

"Serendipity"

10.0

Needed a place near the Airport, as I had missed my flight - 2 nights required. Booked swiftly and found a welcoming approach when I got there. Very nice location on the beach of the Bay. Room clean and comfortable, food of excellent quality, served very capably and at a good price: £30 offer for 3 tasty courses. The uniformly helpful, indeed cordial, attitude of the staff was evident. A 10 minute taxi from the Airport and overall, despite it being caused by my error with my flight, a most pleasant experience. Incidentally, on getting back my closest colleague told me she and her husband had stayed before and agreed with my high evaluation.

"Best hotel for a break during the off peak shoulder season."

10.0

The location was ideal. Easy drive from the airport 4 km. With a Waitrose after the half way point 3km. Friendly, efficient reception staff. Car parking opposite chargeable during spring until end September. Very posh toilets available from reception area. Splendid beach and views from the room across the bay. Hotel has been refurbished and upgraded with extremely high quality finishes everywhere. Easy access to the beach as the hotel is 'on the beach'. Room was spotless with a view to die for from inside and the balcony. Lovely shower with controls positioned so you avoid the cold start! Best towels ever. Kettle, tea, coffee, chocolate mix, biscuits. Comfortable high quality sprung mattress. Dinner meals by Chef James Rickards were outstanding - just looking at the photos does not do justice but tasting the flavours and quality of the ingredients was just Wow! Unlike dinner at sister hotel Somerville where steak was tough as shoe leather. There's a cafe area where one can buy cakes etc. and drinks, enjoy the comfy chairs, read the newspaper, magazines or do some laptop work whilst enjoying the sea views waited on by attentive staff. Perfect. Breakfasts were hotel standard, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, croissants, toast, full english and on request eggs poached, royale, boiled. Super automatic fresh bean-to-cup coffee machine. NOTE: My review was for an October stay when occupancy levels were low. But beware that in the busy tourist season the staff will be stretched to breaking point when the hotel is full. Breakfasts will be manic. Dinners will need to be reserved as Le Brise Restaurant is also popular with the locals! Room 312 is last room down the corridor. Quieter and away from the lift. But only one twin UK power socket by the bed. Another single socket low down near the door. So bring your USB multi port charger!

"Great Service, Great Food and Great Location"

10.0

The kerb appeal of this hotel from the roadside is not great, but that is all forgotten as soon as you walk in. Staff: The hotel staff are super and made the stay a real enjoyment. They are friendly, helpful and great at what they do (whether that be on reception, behind the bar, waiting staff at dinner, cleaners,...). Location: Whilst the front view of the hotel from the road is not great, the rear is right on the sea front / beach and so it is great for beach walks, sea activities and nearby restaurants. For restaurants outside the bay these can be accessed via a 10 min drive in a car or from the bus stop right outside the hotel. Food / Restaurant: The food is great (breakfast, lunch and dinner), the service is spot on, everything is clean and the view that overlooks the bay is lovely. Rooms: Having paid extra for a sea view (abs no brainer) the double room was very nice. Good points - Very clean, new modern bathroom, a balcony overlooking the bay. Minor points - The room is small, there is some noise from people in rooms / balconies, the tea offered is tasteless typhoo Parking: There is chargeable parking opposite the hotel, however from Oct 1st to Mar 31st it is free

"Perfect!"

A perfect stay celebrating our anniversary. Super location, staff couldn't do enough for us, cannot fault it at all. Would love to return in the future. I would recommend paying a little extra for a sea view room. 10/10
