Great hotel very quiet clean rooms would recommend

Set in lovely quiet surroundings, this is a lovely hotel with great staff. I was here for business, but will definately come again for pleasure. Food choice was good and reasonably priced and there is plenty of parking

Friendly helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful breakfast, comfortable well equipped rooms and beautiful grounds.

There is plenty of place for children’s to play. Supermarket and pubs are close by. It is beautiful for long or short walk.

I booked this place so I could get away from the city the hustle and bustle. This has a spa has a swimming pool.a few Queen rooms where you can go and sit and relax you can sit in the garden outside. Something I've not seen before you can get vouchers for a free drink if you request for your room not to be cleaned and the towels changed. you need to realise that this is an old hotel old property I think it gives it character. The staff you cannot fool they are fantastic. Normal breakfast eggs bacon sausage black pudding cereals some yoghurt and fruit juices toast. I did not have the dinner myself but I have been told it is very very nice.

Lovely overnight stay with the family. Staff were lovely.

On arrival I was shown the spa and restaurant facilities. My room was clean and spacious and there was a personalised card from the manager and housekeeping staff which was a lovely welcoming touch. If staying more than one night and you forgo housekeeping they offer you a free drink as reward and eco friendly incentive which I have never experienced anywhere else and I thought it an excellent idea. My room also had plenty of wardrobe space and there was additional seating area which was nice. I had breakfast and evening meal which were tasty and reasonably priced. I used the pool and sauna facilities and these were small but adequate. I didn’t use the gym but it looked well equipped. The reason I didn’t give full marks for cleanliness was because the flooring in the changing room could do with a refurb and the window frames could do with a refresh of paint. Saving the best for last - i found all staff particularly friendly, helpful and professional - without a doubt they are a credit to the hotel and it’s best asset. Nothing was too much trouble for them even when it was clear that they were very busy during their peak meal service and on one occasion having to deal with a rather rude and unreasonable client who was insisting on having scampi when it was not on the menu. I would definitely go back if I was staying in the area.

Very quiet with lovely grounds to walk in. The hotel was a nice place to relax.
