Attentive service very helpful and polite.high

Staff were unhelpful and rude. Hotel is very basic. After arriving following a long journey from London we waited 20 minutes to be greeted at reception after having to go and find a member of staff ourselves. The night check in supervisor arrived, was unhelpful and proceeded to get his manager. On the duty managers arrival the supervisor told him I had been moaning right in front of me. I asked him to elaborate on what his comment meant and he told me he was just trying to explain the situation to his manager. The manager was equally unhelpful or able to make us feel welcome. The worst service I have experienced in a long time.

Very friendly, happy to.oblige, made very welcome for my birthday. Wedding parties kept well segregated from other guests. Clean and quiet. Restaurant menu was a bit unimaginative though with a lot of beefburger options

Fantastic setting. Great to have a pool and a spa. Rooms are very spacious. And reception staff friendly and helpful

Lovely peaceful setting staff were excellent the hotel is lovely with lots of original features.

Staff were very good and the breakfast was excellent value

Very comfortable. Excellent check in service. Breakfast service very lacklustre. Getting a hot cup of tea was a very slow process.

We used the hotel as a base for local activities and it was perfect for what we needed. The ladies enjoyed their spa treatment and found a nearby pub (Nags head) that served nice food although the hotel also served lunch. The staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. The pool area is a little tired in comparison to the rest of the hotel but generally clean.

Nice hotel, lovely breakfast, friendly staff. General indoor appearance and decor of the hotel was very good and well maintained, however bedroom we occupied was rather dated. We will definitely stay there again
