Hyatt House Herndon/Reston

Great rooms. Much more comfortable than a regular hotel room.

I've stayed multiple times a year for over a decade at this hotel. The location both for business and recreation was always very convenient for me and with the new bike path directly at the hotel it is 10 out of 10. Previously, this venue has been nice and could be so, if the staff would dial up their service just one notch (and not down). This time, there was no reusable dishware at the breakfast available, and I was specifically told not to use any. Also, housekeeping would be once-a-week, and by once-a-week they mean no housekeeping if you stay less than 7 days.

Lobby was a great gathering place with plenty of space to hang out with our extended family.

The price and location

Shower didn't work well, couldn't darken the room

The noise management in this property is horrible; you hear every step of people in the room above you as well as sounds from the hall, including the really loud bell from the elevator. This property is so tired- it really needs a refresh. The furnishings are at least 30 years old, and the sink was stained. My socks got so dirty from walking on the carpet in the room- yuck! Even though I requested late checkout on the app and at check-in, they still deactivated my card at noon, telling me that this always happens in their system although this didn’t occur in several previous stays at other properties. Don’t bother with this property- there are many better Hyatt properties near Dulles.

This hotel is my go-to when I am in the Herdon area since its basically an apartment. Staff at this location are super nice and always willing to help. If you need something, just ask. Super clean and spacious rooms. I will go back over and over. TY HHH
