Saxenburg Wine Farm

We had a little problem at first with the accommodation, but it was sorted out very quickly 😁 the new accommodation was bigger, modern and comfortable and had all we needed.

Spacious inside

Property was rundown. Exterior neglected. The pool was green. Expected way more for the price.

Beds were suer comfortable, room had all i needed fora good stay with nice towels and linen. A awesome selection of tv channels and news. Quite and peaceful. Water and wine was a nice touch.

Road leading to accommodation was really poor. Kids riding motorbikes on the lawn in right front of of us while we were having dinner and peacefully enjoying the sunset.

Everything. I loved that it is very intimate. Even the restuarant. We were planning on doing Uber eats but then I realised the facilities on the Estate. We drove to the restuarant, by the way, but it was literally in our back yard. Even overlooking the City, in the night time. Beautiful. The braai area that is close to the pool, perfect. The scenery, was beautiful. The quietness, the view of the animals, it was exceptional! I would definetely go again. It was very sad, that we had to leave, I was thinking of extending our stay. Nevertheless. A very beautiful place, it fell in line with the wedding we had. My Husband and I had a beautiful stay.

The thing that was above the bed. I need an email address, as I broke a drinking glass and took something accidentally. Need to return it, or please bill me for it.

It is well located in the wine area. It is good value for money. It’s more spacious than expected based on the pictures. The pool is nice and has a great view on Cape Town and table mountain.

Even-though it was not mentioned to be there, the room really requires cooling (fan or ac). We don’t recommend the room with small kids if it is hot. After having requested some form of shade in the front this was not possible. This is something to improve as we had to keep our baby inside

In the cottage they left us a bottle of Saxenburg wine. Also, an invitation to have a Free Wine Tasting Experience. What a lovely gesture! It was very peaceful and we felt very safe. Eugene, at the Gate, was so friendly and helpful. The Barbeque facilities offered was such a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything! The farm is absolutely beautiful — from the moment you drive in and see the wildlife, you’re surrounded by the true feeling of South African nature and culture. The flat was spotless, modern, and had everything we needed. Sitting among the vines with a view of Table Mountain felt surreal — like being in The Lion King! The pool was fantastic, the wine delicious, and the staff incredibly friendly. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Honestly, nothing! We only wish we could have stayed longer.
