Please inform Sonder Greektown in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A damage deposit of USD 400 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. After confirmation, Sonder will reach out to guests through a secure link to gather some information regarding the guest stay. Sonder may require the guest to provide a photo of their government issued photo ID. Guest will receive more details from the property management prior to arrival. Please note, the layout, furniture, and decor of your space may vary from these photos. There is no cable. We have provided an HDMI cord for streaming. This is a central location and prone to city and construction noise. There is no elevator at this property and there may be multiple flights of stairs required to reach your space. "Would hesitate if not never repeat the experience"

The apartment was tastefully furnished and supplied

Exceptionally and unacceptably noisy !!! Cars trucks and people”s conversations were heard and felt constantly and relentlessly throughout the night ! The unit above was moving furniture after midnight. The short bedroom wall did little to minimize the sound ! . Access to the unit had Too many stairs with no prior warning ! A guest with a back condition had a hard time negotiating them .

"Disappointing"

This was an apartment that sleeps 4 but only had a table and chairs for 2. The kitchen was fine. But there were no instructions for how to dispose of garbage. It turned out to be very complicated and had we left the bag in the hall, we would have been fined. We received 2 angry texts about noise that we never even saw until the next morning because we were asleep and NOT making any noise. We were there for 5 nights and they never replenished the coffee (1 day's worth). There wasn't even a throw blanket to use on the couch. It just seemed that everything was a bit stingy and the management was looking to make money through fines.

"I felt super unsafe in this apartment"

The apartment is well furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay

The building main entrance became a drug selling point. I felt super insecure. These people were there all night selling drugs and they were super noisy.

"Das Zentrum and Subway very close. Apartment with great potential, but badly kept"

The size of the rooms, the location of the apartment near the subway stop and about a 15-minute walk from the Willis Towers. The communication with Sonder was very fast. Easy access with codes and without keys

The sofa bed was broken and somewhat uncomfortable, we notified immediately and were offered to change apartments. The dishwasher was also broken, also the TV (No Smart) had no Internet connection, which surprised me being in the USA. I also confirm the presence of people permanently smoking outside the building, most probably guests of an immigration center in the adjacent building. Although they do nothing in particular, they make access to the apartment quite uncomfortable.

It was safe feeling and very roomy. When we had a issue with the toilet it was dealt with instantly! That was impressive.

We got accused of being too loud at 12:30 a.m. when we were asleep. It was the people above us. All 3 nights we heard stomping and running until at least 1 a.m.

my experience with Sonder was pretty terrible. TLDR: They charge hotel prices, but their corporate presence, cleanliness, and customer service have a "hotel without the hospitality" feel. On my first day, I got a nasty message from their customer service that there was a noise complaint for my apartment. I was not in the unit, so this scared me badly. I thought someone had broken in. I responded to the rep, and they quickly retracted. I asked what happened, and there was no follow up. As other reviewers have stated, the entrance feels a little unsafe, so the whole situation was unnecessarily alarming. I wouldn't have been as worried if I hadn't been traveling alone. The building also opens on a sketchy alley in the back with no locked door. As far as cleanliness, the halls are dirty and smell of chemicals. The shower in my unit was moldy. Small things like asking about amenities took over 12 hours to get a straight response from customer service. I kept getting "We'll update you" or "we are coordinating now" responses, and then radio silence until I followed up, inevitably having to repeat myself because there were "no notes." . My reservation required me to switch units, and they couldn't offer a luggage solution for the 4ish hour window. Even that was fine, but it took them 2 days and multiple follow ups to finally respond with that negative.
