Room was great. Lovely little kitchen and really enjoyed the patio. We requested a king size bed and the request was granted and it was really comfortable. Quiet beach was really close by. Lovely quiet getaway.

We were warned the toilet was a bit finicky and it was. I know they are working to fix that.

The host, Cristina, was absolutely lovely and very helpful. She was very easy to contact if we had any questions and made us feel at home. She gave us advice on where to go nearby and very kindly ordered our taxi for us back to the ferry. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well equipt with everything you may need. We also really liked the location as it was out of the town, therefore away from any noise, but a very short walk to the beach and also a short walk to the town.

The kindness and friendliness of the property manager, owner and staff, was exceptional. This is one of the most important aspects of anywhere that I stay. I was immediately welcomed and looked after, including lots of messages prior to my arrival regarding transport so that my journey to the island and hotel was as smooth as possible, including help with arranging a shuttle, where to wait at the airport and help with details about the ferry etc. I am very grateful. The room itself was beautiful and the area was very quiet, so I always slept well. The fridge in the room is a little loud so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I hope I get the chance to go back to Holbox and to stay at Villa Los Mangles again :)

We just returned from the loveliest stay at Villa Los Mangles palapa del amor. the private rooftop terrace was the perfect vantage point for stargazing and drinking our morning coffee. Cristina is simply the best, most gracious and welcoming host. she went out of her way to make us comfortable and even left little NYE gifts in our room. Los Mangles is located near one of the best beaches on the island and a short walk from town. ATV taxis are available and affordable if you don’t feel like walking.

Two minutes from the beach. Secluded location. Our terrace above the tree line with a fabulous bird show every day. Always a breeze up there.

The kitchen door handle kept falling off. The bed side lights worked only sporadically.

Very private, we felt like the only guests. Our host, Christina, was an absolute delight. The air conditioner was our savior from the heat and humidity. Walking distance to convenience stores, restaurants and the beach. Great price and value!

An issue in our room (and in all of Mexico) was a corroded shower head, making it impossible to take a quick, water-conserving shower. A nice touch would have been a garrafon of drinking water with a tap or a couple bottles of filtered water in the room.
