Villa Los Mangles Boutique Hotel

Very specious, comfortable room with well equipped kitchen, located in a peaceful street, yet very close to the beach and the main area with restaurants and shops. 15 minutes walk from the port. Christina, the host is very lovely, helpful, and accommodating. Totally recommend, just bring PLENTY of mosquito repellent for the body and the room.

Mosquitoes!!! They're everywhere and very aggressive. But that applies to the whole area, so it's not related to the property. Otherwise, everything was great!

Super friendly hostess and warm welcome upon arrival. Nicely decorated and cosy rooms with excellent beds and silky sheets (the best we've had in years). Got towels to go the beach and mosquito repellent candle for the room. Small piece of paradise close to the beach.

The lighting in our bedroom was a bit bright and made the room look less cosy than during the day. Secondly, Isla Holbox is also Isla Mosquito: be prepared for a lot of small buggers attacking you wherever you go. Buy the repellent that the locals use and spray as much as you can!

Los Mangles is great value for money, and the host is so lovely! Booked us cabs and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is really pretty and bed was comfortable - A/C in the bedroom was great too.

The location of the property can be a little tricky I think in rainy season only! We were there in rainy season so expecting some flooding, however the only route out of Los Mangles was blocked by a flooded road. Absolutely fine for taxis but on foot it meant clinging to trees and getting to the beach via another hotel. On the beach in approx 3 mins which is so great but be prepared for a lot of mosquitos before getting there. We also spent no time in the lovely terrace area as the mosquitos were very present.

Spotlessly clean. Great mattress. Convenient location. Lots of space in the room. Fully equipped with big fridge. Super friendly and helpful management giving quick responses.

It’s hard not to get sand in the room..but it’s a beach holiday!

This boutique hotel is simply perfect to relax - a little oasis of paradise! The rooms are beautiful and clean and the manager of the place Cristina is very sweet and kind. The hotel is very close to the beach only two blocks (5 min walk). We loved that it was a bit far from the center and the noise. Thank you for everything!

There was one little hickup during our stay (3 nights). At 5 in the morning we heard loud noises coming from upstairs of the villa. We realised that the owner (who lives in the 2nd floor) was throwing a party, as he thought no guests were staying at the hotel as it’s low season. We asked him to lower the music and he did so immediately. Overall, it’s surely a misunderstanding but it is worth to be mentioned. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and it’s why it still deserves a high rate!
