Decent hotel. Prob more 4*+ rather than 5* Appreciate service levels may not be pre COVID so difficult to judge properly. Given the current pandemic felt very safe, which above all was very important. All staff wore masks and there were ample sanitisers available throughout the hotel for guests to use. Staff ensured that all guests adhered to wearing masks in public areas. Disposable gloves were provided during meal times to maintain hygiene during handling of plates / tongs etc... Staff were attentive and friendly. Although upon checkin front of desk staff did not offer to help us with our luggage (we are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children) to our rooms. I was particular pleased with the attention of the lifeguards who were very vigilant especially when guests were diving into the Atlantic Ocean. Where the hotel let itself down was the food options, which were poor especially for us as vegetarians. It only came to our attention re a special vegetarian menu that was available during dinner after i made a complaint to the restaurant manager which was disappointing. Kids buffett menu was same every day...Pizza, chips and chicken nuggets... If the outdoor pools were heated that would be a ideal. As although we were lucky with the weather (24 degrees) the water in the pool was cold!

Even during the difficult times of COVID, the hotel welcomed us with their best effort and the stay was fabulous. Room was always well cleaned and dinner buffet always had different menus so kids were never bored with it. Ocean view restaurant was another good point. Pools were lovely, kids loved them. It’s connected to the ocean if you go down few steps of stairs, and try snorkeling there with bread from breakfast. You will see some fish. It’s deep and water is little chilly but worth it.

Very conditioned stay, in which customers were not alerted about the number of services not available, such as, restaurants, spa, indoor activities.

Firstly, this is NOT a 5 star hotel. 4 star at best. The rooms are tired and dated, stained carpets etc. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable with a ridiculous oversized pillow that was impossible to sleep with. But the worst part is unfortunately the staff. Front desk check in/check out staff were rude and abrupt and couldn’t care less if you’re standing directly in front of them for minutes on end (they just don’t acknowledge your presence). Disappointing all around. However, staff in Mama Mia were wonderful so if you’re going to be here, dine there! Finally the kids club staff were wonderful and kind.

The rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the water. It is a shame that none of the outdoor pools are heated. Booking restaurants on site was difficult and we couldn't eat in the Japenese Restaurant as it was fully booked for the 3 days which we were there.

Hotel superb, I was a solo traveller for the first time & the staff made me feel inconspicuous & were really friendly & attentive. All facilities still available despite it being mid November. Would definitely stay here again.

It was the ultimate luxury. The staff in all areas were first class and very helpful. Food delicious and dining around plan easy to use. Would recommend this hotel to all ages.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very well run and i was pleasantly surprised to find the drinks were so reasonably priced it was actually cheaper than at home! The food was very good overall and there was something for everyone. The evening entertainment was not great but it was not important for me. The pools were great and the poolside restaurant had good snacks, small meals and drinks. I would go back again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, cleaning was excellent as was the food at breakfast. The buffet at night is something you either live or not, I’m not a fan so chose to use the dine around option to eat at the Portuguese and Italian restaurants - both excellent The location of the hotel is also superb and the views breathtaking from the room.
