Courtyard by Marriott Colorado Springs South

Checked in a few minutes early and that was nice. Room was ready and nice to move around in. 10.00 charge for parking, pretty unreasonable. Just why? Went to take a shower the next morning and NO HOT WATER. Tried to call down to front desk since I was in a towel. NO PHONE SERVICE, There was a number to hotel on the phone so I called the phone number from my cell phone and got a FAST BUSY SIGNAL. Still no hot water. Finally got dressed and went to lobby partially wet. Timed it on my phone. Stood at front desk for FIVE MINUTES before I was acknowledged. Just enough time to become highly agitated. Phone service has been out since Sunday/Monday high winds? (and you didn't mention this) Said hot water went out at 10 am this morning. Said they were working on it and it should be up by noon. still no hot water. We left at 1 pm because still no hot water!!! time's awastin when you are on vacation!!!! Will be contacintg credit card company!

M stay at the courtyard was not good at their pool was not opened which wasn’t mentioned online and 2nd their TV did not work. I couldn’t get the internet or the channels I wanted to watch. The staff really didn’t care other than to say “unfortunately”

It was in a location that I needed for my trip.

I'm a Marriott Elite Bonvoy member and a long time loyal guest at Marriott properties over the year. This is the single worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott property. 1. Staff was extremely sparse. More often than not, there was no one at the front desk while several guests looked around and called for someone. Sometimes, a person would appear. Other times, not. And sometimes the person who seemed to be on duty was instead sitting outside the hotel taking a smoking break. 2. One day I came down for breakfast right in the middle of the listed breakfast hours and there was no breakfast available. That same evening snacks and drinks were posted to be available until 10:00. When I arrived at the hotel in the evening at about 9:15 the bar area was dark. I asked about this and was told "Oh, they closed early tonight". 3. The blackout curtains in my room were ripped at the top with the pull bar ripped off. The lack of pull bar made them hard to close and the ripping made them ineffectual in the morning at sunrise. Having presented these negatives, there are two positives: 1. I like the fact that the TV didn't take over the room. In too many hotel rooms, TVs way too big for the room are provided. 2. I asked for and received late checkout (about 2 hours extension on checkout time).

The initial check in was great. Everything after that you are ignored

The large overflowing dumpster outside our room for over 9 days and growing. Wind storm along with discarded furniture and carpet wasn't a good combo. They had a large group staying with a conference in town and the greeting was the dumpster as well as the site for the bus pick ups. I felt embarrassed for the hotel and people. What kind of place have we blindly picked to stay? You can hear them talking about it. We are relocating and planning to stay for a month. Checked out after 9 days. We are hotel folks and have worked in hotels our entire careers. They unfortunately had a QA inspection from us daily and failed miserably. The "food" and beverage is awful. You can sit in the lobby and watch people bringing in all their food and delivery of dinners. It's not even funny.. Employees on phones with customers at the bar. Service or needing anything is not important to the staff or what staff you see. I think about 5 people work in the entire hotel. Room incredibly dark. 3 lamps in room. 1 on bright grocery store lighting and 2 at eye level on bright by beds. Noisy air conditioner and very hot. Such a small bathroom sink there isn't room to set anything down. Door missing off cabinet (apparently waiting in the hall to be put back on) I wouldn't stay here even if the rate was 50$ a night but it isn't. Paying 150$ a night at a literal dump isn't worth it.

We arrived with a large group/team, the staff was incredible and very accommodating. The public areas were under construction which we were not notified of but the staff did the best that they could to assist us. Definitely recommend staying here but check to make sure the remodeling and updates are complete if you have a family.
