Fairly clean but need remodel badly. Arrived late at night so we had very little interaction with staff.

Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Reasonably priced. I'm satisfied and would stay again

The bed was horrible. The nicest thing in the room was a flat screen TV. There was no hairdryer, lotion or shampoo provided. I was actually afraid to unpack my clothes. There was no safety chain on the door. A friend who lives in Marion called to check on me and wanted to bring me dinner since I wasn't feeling well. When I checked in i had to initial a card that I was the only person staying in the room and would have no visitors. After hearing from my friend that he wanted to stop by and bring dinner, I alerted the front desk that I had a friend stopping by, he informed me I would have to pay an additional $10. I tried to explain that my friend would only be staying to eat with me. He mumbled and I could hardly understand him because of his accent. I paid the $10. After my friend left I decided to leave and find another place to stay. I didn't feel safe there at all. I paid a total of $114 for a room that should have only cost $30. Very very old and run down. Stay away from this place. I'm surprised that Hotels. Com would even represent this dump!

Rude staff, nasty rooms, do not stay here. The health department should shut this place down!!!

There was a mosquito in one of the beds. The employee was an absolute jerk! I was obviously a bother to him when I checked in. He did not want to help at all. It was only me and a small dog. I was charged a $20 pet fee. though there was not supposed to be a pet fee. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! OR ANY AMERICA"S BEST

There was a big event on that weekend and the hotels jacked their prices up. I was looking for a hotel that less than $100.00 per night. I found this hotel, but the overall rating is 1.7. When I got to the hotel, I was facing this unfriendly and hateful looking older person at the counter. We chatted for few minutes and he gave me the key of my room. I was expecting my room will be 1.7 rating, but when I opened my room, it was a shocker for me. My room was 3+ rating. I was completely satisfied with my room.

I think Hotels.com should stop promoting this hotel on their website. Not a chance of ever staying there again.

My girlfriend, niece and grand daughter stayed at this hotel on the way to the beach on May 28, 2017. When we got home and check the bank account, I noticed an extra charge of $50. I called to ask why and was told by the manager (Mike) that a housekeeper had seen a white dog in their room. They did NOT have a pet of any kind with them. When I tried to explain this to Mike he was very rude and called me a liar. And refused to refund my $50. He was also very rude to my girlfriend when she called to explain that she didn't have a pet. I was also told they found pet hair in the room. By the pictures I will share you will see that the room doesn't look like it had been cleaned in a month.

Some of these reviews are probably a little too harsh on this place. Here are a few things that I think are a fair assessment between the fair critical assessment & the overly critical. Firstly a few good points. We stayed here Saturday night & the Hotel was not overly crowded & it was quite. From my experiences a quite Hotel on a Saturday night is a good thing. It's literally right off the Highway, close to a restaurant & gas station. The Wifi worked well for our purposes but you probably won't be streaming Hi Def. shows or quickly downloading. The breakfast is okay, nothing to boast about. The fruit was fresh & there was a small variety to choose from such as bread, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee & Tea. Now for a few things that could be better. The man behind the desk was a bit of a harsh personality but definitely not the tyrant that others described him as. I certainly would not classify him as professional either. He was not rude to me but was interested in a very lengthy conversation about lot's of things that I wasn't quite as interested in. As for the room & rate: the room was very dated but the place appeared to be clean & I certainly didn't see any insects. The rate I felt was a little high for the amenities offered, being right around the eighty dollar range for double bed, 3 people & non-smoking. Overall, I'm not disappointed & if your looking for a place to stay I don't think this is a bad option for an overnighter.
