Holiday Inn Express Warwick - Stratford-upon-Avon by IHG

The hotel was clean and well appointed The staff were extremely helpful and willing. The false fire alarm at 5am was not helpful and the car park is too small for the hotel if it is fully booked.

Well located hotel but hardly slept due to saggy mattress.

Very hard working staff. Nice room. Comfy bed. Good breakfast. Very busy at breakfast time Good selection of food etc. X18 bus stops outside hotel on main road to go to statford. £3 each way. Takes about 15 mins. So easy. Defo would stay again

Once again no problems encountered during our stay.

Nice location, easily accessible from the M40. Great for Warwick, Leamington spa Stratford etc. Plenty of car parking. Comfortable beds. In room coffee / tea / iron available. Nice friendly staff. Good breakfast. Well worth the price paid. On site McDonalds for a late night burger if hungry.

Be warned - you have to pay to park there - £5 per day. The lady on reception was lovely. although by herself. The main problem for me was the lighting in the room. The room was dark because the excellent lighting strip above the bedhead, which is normal in many HI hotels, did not work. I was told that they had a policy of not replacing these. This is a bad decision. There were two 'spotlights', one on either side of the bed but these were very very weak. So it was a dark room and I did not feel very comfortable; it was not a good place to read and study. I turned on every light in the room but it was still dark. Also there were no electric sockets near the bed head. Not all HIs are great hotels.

Was ok. Breakfast was poor.
