Isle Of Palms Resort

Location was good and reachable, stayed as 2 families (7 people) overall cheaper than up to 3 rooms anywhere else. Pool was nice, kids were in it alot. Local mall was handy.

So I read the reviews before going so had a pretty good idea the place was in need of refurbishment (4 bedroom townhouse with private pool). Either the house has been 'flooded' before or the frequent floor washing has caused pretty much all lower wall trim to swell, it's all MDF so no wonder it has, I would suspect it's been a historic leak or flood and the patch up is 'rough and ready' plenty of paint peeling off the walls in the laundry and water staining on some parts of the ceiling. Things that could make it better alongside a refurb. Downstairs toilet doesn't have a privacy lock so holding thy foot against is is required main bathroom the shower head spray is very narrow, the oven is very old, probably original, the 'in bench' chopping board is unuseable (for hygine reasons), most of the furniture is past it, couch is pretty broken. Main Bedroom seemed OK as did the 2 singles but the double bed support frame is broken so it made it sag towards the door, it's also a 'far too small' bed for a couple to sleep in. The rainwater collection tank doesnt work as a cap has been taking away which means when it rains all the rainwater just falls to the ground which makes it noisey to sleep though. In summary if the place had a good refurbishment including replacing all trimmings, paint, tile fresh up, furniture and appliance refresh, exterior paint, gutters serviced and replaced it would be a very nice place to stay

Pool and location was great

No housekeeping. Stayed for 5 nights and never seen any staff except for on check in. A little dated for a 4 star resort.

Amazing views from the deck and balcony, quite cosy, beds were very comfortable, sure inside looks a Lil outdated but it's still very nice and at an excellent price, I'm sure we'll be back. Kids loved the pool while we enjoyed the hot tub.

The bloody swans thinking they own the place when you're trying to enjoy some food on the deck haha.

Great location. Kid friendly and the people were very friendly.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful on arrival. Location is beautiful and units are very spacious. Very family friendly. The unit had a full kitchen and washing machine and dryer. Shops across the road is a massive bonus as it has everything you need. Do not go outside without bug spray as the Midgies were terrible and we did find a few items left behind under beds. Could not get in contact with restaurant but luckily lots of options at the shops across the road, but otherwise our stay was perfect. We were very sad to leave. We will definitely be returning again.
