We had a lovely stay at Cawthorne House. Our room was very nice, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Pascal's freshly baked sourdough alone was worth stopping for! Our hosts were lovely, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely recommend Cawthorne House as a base for this part of North Yorkshire and the East Coast.

Written on behalf of my mum. We stayed at Cawthorne House in May and were greeted on arrival by Pascal. He showed us to our super king room with a warm welcome and even brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco, homemade canapés and also some homemade cookies - which were all yummy. The room was stunning, with a super king bed which was so comfortable. The bathroom was also beautiful with a spacious shower, along with everything you need including shower gel, shampoo etc. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room with lots of choice of teabags etc. Breakfast was pre-ordered the night before and was all local produce and Pascal’s homemade sour dough bread which was absolutely delicious. Ideally located for the North Yorkshire Railway station, with Pickering station being just a 5 min walk away. Plenty of local restaurants nearby to eat in the evenings. Pascal always went that extra mile to help and ensure we were happy with everything. We had a lovely 2 night stay at this beautiful guest house and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here to anyone.

Pascal greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome from the first point of contact. The drink, canapé and cookies were much appreciated after a long journey. Breakfast was fantastic and prepared beautifully using quality ingredients and the room was very comfortable. Several dining options are within walking distance to suit all budgets and the car park behind the property is very convenient . Pascal was full of local knowledge and tips and we would certainly stay here again if in the area .

When we arrived at the hotel for our 3 night stay, we were welcomed by our host Pascal. Pascal was very helpful and gave us some good knowledge of the area and advice on places to visit and eat during our stay. Breakfast the following morning was fantastic, with all quality ingredients and his amazing freshly home baked sour dough bread. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cawthorne house and will definitely be back.

A little apprehension at first as there is no real ‘kerb appeal’ but this masks an excellent guest house and welcome. The glasses of fizz and canapé on arrival help us to settle in. The cooked to order breakfast is worthy of a 5 star hotel. Would recommend to those wishing to explore the North Yorkshire Moors.

Well! What to say, what a stay! So comfortable, lovely Georgian house, cosy room, beautifully cooked breakfast and the top feature.....owner Pascal. Pascal is everything good that you would want from a B &B host plus much more. Nothing was too much for him. He was most kind when, as a couple in our 80's, we were too tired to go out to eat after a long day. We were greeted on arrival with canapés, lovely home baked biscuits and a glass of Prosecco....what's not to like? We would have liked to have stayed longer and hope to return Thank you Pascal for a memorable stay in your lovely home.
