Alles, dreckig, verschmutztes Bad, Feuchte Wände, Wasser stand in der Dusxhe, unaufgeräumt benutztes Geschirr lag auf dem Couchtisch, eine Nacht auf der Durchfahrt schrecklich!!

The location is good for visiting Arundel Castle and Littlehampton. Buffet breakfast was good. Kids enjoyed the garden.

The staff were very young and inexperienced. Polite but a bit useless. Swimming pool was overly warm and on a hot day wasn't enjoyable. The changing rooms were dirty and small. No privacy. Needs were very uncomfortable and the sofa pull out needs were very uncomfortable springs in your back. Food was substandard from what you'd expect in a hotel, think weatherspoons. Consider eating out. Best didn't know what the restaurant was doing so drinks had to be recordered. Kids enjoyed the garden and were oblivious to the rubbish food and beds.

The grounds and location of the hotel are beautiful. The bed and room were comfortable.

The welcome and approach of the staff did not feel like a 4 star service. The reception staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. However the bar staff were lovely. It would have been helpful to have been given the code for the spa on check in rather than have to look for for staff in order to get the barrier code.

Needs update, care and attention. Open the out door pool. Cleaner needed to clean.

Room was a bit small and we had a ground room and windows did not have any Net curtains and therefore for privacy we had to keep curtain and room was then Dark. With regard to breakfast few items had run out and they were not Replenished and we understand that they did not have the the delivery but i am sure they have could have gone to a Supermarket and replenished the stuff which was run out.

The room was a bit small, and we were given a ground-floor room. The windows did not have net curtains, so for privacy we had to keep the main curtains closed, which made the room very dark during the day. Regarding breakfast, several items had run out and were not replenished. We understand that there may have been delivery issues, but the hotel could have made an effort to purchase replacement items from a nearby supermarket. In addition, the swimming pool was very small — only 10 metres long. This should be clearly mentioned on the hotel’s website, and Booking.com should also make this information more visible to guests before booking.

The staff were lovely and the facilities were good. The food was excellent. We got a voucher for two free drinks when checked in as I told the receptionist that it was our anniversary and they gave out vouchers for free drinks every day you didn’t get your room made up which is a great incentive

The room was very hot as there was no air conditioning but that is due to the hotel being an old school so presumably the owners are not aloud to put air conditioning as it’s an old building. There was a wedding on the third night we were there which meant one of the three chefs had to cater for that so there was a big delay waiting for food but the staff were great even though they were getting a lot of complaints for other guests but they handled it well giving us a 50 per cent discount on our dinner, I did point out that I still would of paid full price.

All the staff were very pleasant, including the poor serving staff in the restaurant during the evening meal, despite the difficult circumstances they were working under, and some very rude customers they were having to deal with. The grounds were lovely and peaceful. The location was very good for our trip and close to the various places we wanted to visit.

For the premium price the stay was overall disappointing. The room was grubby and dated, the bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was very hard and the headboard was perched on a baton on the wall and fell off! Breakfast was disappointing as there was limited choice as the food was not refilled quick enough for the volume of guests attending. The evening meal although was very good quality to eat, the service was chaos as there was an issue in the kitchen/serving and meals were taking at least 90 minutes to be served. The whole place looks like it needs an overhaul to bring it into the 21st Century!
