The person at the front desk was rude during check in. I have been a Hilton Honors member for 18 years. I am presently at the Silver level and we use Hilton several times a year. When we questioned their check in policy because it was so different than other hotels, she called the police with the explanation of “they are ignorant and may have been drinking”. When I shared with the manager what had occurred he stated that is not like her, she probably was having a bad day. Her bad day could turn into an accident death for others. You don’t call the police because you are having a bad day. Trust me we are 4 times more intelligent than this woman and never showed any aggression or did anything that would require the present of cops and neither one of us are drinkers. We left and checked into the Holiday Inn across the street who greeted us warmly.
