Central location Room was comfortable and clean, a bit quirky! We had Sunday lunch, it was amazing! Staff we helpful

Amazing stay at this beautiful hotel! Living in a nearby town, we often visit Bury St Edmund’s as so many lovely shops and restaurants but wanted to stay the night and enjoy a meal in the restaurant. We were given an incredible room with views of the Abbey, a bronze bath in the bedroom and huge bathroom. We love the decor of the whole hotel. Cosy, classic and stylish. The staff are all so friendly and the meal in the restaurant in the evening was superb! The food was really special and the service very good. Loved the cocktails too. The manager Tom is fantastic, so full of energy and ensuring we had a great stay. We will definitely be back, severally to try one of their supper clubs Supper club evenings soon.

What a great hotel , such a great vibe all round , hotel was packed . Room was spacious and clean and they even made the effort keeping our dogs happy with treats and toys Will visit again for sure.

Tom was exceptional!!! We arrived to have a drink to be told they were full!!!! Tom appeared and whisked us away to a charming table in the drawing room. The staff are incredibly attentive… even the point a photo was being taken and one of your staff popped up offering the get a photo with us all in … incredible… such a rare thing such brilliant service well done The Angel and Tom

Terribly overpriced - the shower tiles were mouldy

Lunch on a quiet Tuesday. Sat in the lounge area. Starters arrived and unbelievably bland. Took ages to get some salt and pepper , which both arrived totally empty. Staff disappeared so quickly and didn’t return I had to go and find someone before we had cold food. Shared main course arrived and we asked for another hot plate , wait wait wait etc. eventually someone appeared and we then asked again. It duly arrived. Overall , bland food and quite frankly slack and poor service. Need to do much better if this is the standard when it’s quiet.

Staff were absolutely brilliant. We a left a watch in the room. Staff located and said no problem to send it on. They parked our car for us in a secure location. They were friendly and helpful. Wonderful place to stay. We will be back !

There is no Spa but I can’t really complain about that.

Prettier in Person! My first thought when I saw The Angel Hotel was no way! I couldn’t believe the ivy and petunias were prettier than the pictures I had seen online. The contrast of the ivy and vibrant petunias was breathtaking. The best surprise was discovering the ivy and petunias were real and not fake!
